Part 1 - World in ruins

Hey, there!

I just wanted to practice sketching buildings, but it turned out pretty good - so much so, that I decided to add them to the world building of my "Resist&bite!" comic. Apparently, I like drawing the apocalypse, heh.

The drawings show the events from before the beginning of my comic, although, they are not in chronological order.

The damn creature! He’s a pain in the movie and still a pain to draw!

There’s much to this AU, and things have changed since I last updated you all, however, good things are coming very soon.

And for those new to this story I’ve been writing and rewriting and thinking through for years, let me tell you about The Cost of Victory.

Raph, when he tried to rip away the Krang flesh fused to his own, instead shut down. He collapsed right there in front of everyone, the strain of trying to free himself proving too much.

Everything slowed, Raph fell into a coma as his body focused on keeping control and fighting the Krang puppeting him. Waking up was irrelevant, survival was.

But this was a catalyst. Without Raph, the fight against Krang Prime shifted slightly and ended like it always was destined to. Leo alone, stuck in the Prison Dimension. But for longer, his body beaten and on the verge of death.

Mikey, of course, tried to open a portal. Chips of skin peeled from his arms.

And Donnie could not watch another brother get hurt or vanish before his eyes. He took the brunt of the spell, something him and Raph and Mikey would’ve been able to share between themselves, instead overwhelmed the soft-shell. It resulted in the loss of both of Donnie’s arms, but Leo was alive.

The comic focuses on the butterfly effect these changes had. New foes and familiar ones.

And what their victory cost them all.

I often find myself thinking about how the people behind Rise of the TMNT looked at the Krang's mech:

And decided to make the most Xenomorph-esque, nightmarish, badass, metal af thing I've ever seen:

Impossible odds

“Outmatched and alone, yet you persist. For what? Honour, redemption? Sacrifice? All meaningless. “

Gritting his teeth he stands up with swords gripped in his hands.

Prime growls at him, a sharp twisted smile stretches across his face. “A shame really. They put so much effort into yet this is how you go down? Squashed under my foot like the pest you are.”

Runt growls back, shifts his feet to a more battle stance, ready for the gumball to come at him. He’s got a plan, a stupid plan mind you but the best he’s got so far. He’s got one shot to get this ace up his sleeve, he promised he’d never use it but hopes they’ll forgive him in this circumstance.

“I won’t let you all go to waste though. I’ll use you against them, I’ll turn you on that pathetic thing you call a family. Make you watch as you rip them apart limb by limb” prime snarls as he shifts.

“We’ll see about that”

A NOTE REGARDING THE COMIC, what Mikey said are only MY HEADCANONS of him and his experiences in Dimension X.

as for Leo saying "a MIKEY faced worsed than i did", he only said that because that's what he thinks comparing his own experience for one day with Kraang versus Mikey spending 2 years with a whole BUNCH of Kraang, but Mikey would think the same with Leo; he would believe that Rise Leo and his bros had it worse than him in the 2 years bc they almost lost Leo in the process. (also the 2012 bros still don't know what Mikey experienced in Dimension X).

so they both believe the other had it worse than them!!! so pls don't jump me-
