SHOULDA, WOULDA, COULDA 👀🤔 I don't believe there is an adult alive that hasn't experienced a situation where things didn't go as planned. You know, those situations where you walk away thinking and speaking about what you "should have" said or what you "would have" done? We have all been there. As a matter of a fact, some of us spend so much time thinking about it that we wrote a song...lol (Thanks Brian McKnight!). We can all agree that hindsight is indeed 20/20. Our situations are never as clear when we are in the midst of them as they are when we finally reach the end of them. While it easy to get caught up looking in the review mirror analyzing over and over about what should have been done or said in any given situation, my personal goal is to acknowledge my past situations but to still move forward "in spite" of them. I mean really...what are the odds that the exact same situation with that exact same person will occur again for you to apply your practiced (and should I say premeditated...lol) shoulda, coulda, woulda solution? Phillipians 3:13-14 reads: 13. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I read this passage and am reminded that I can't let the "shoulda, coulda, and woulda" moments of this life prevent me from moving forward in my purpose....from pressing forward toward the mark of the higher calling. I refuse to be hung up on past situations that I can't change. I can only focus on enhancing my future experiences with the seasoning of the lessons learned from past experiences. So when those shoulda, coulda, and woulda moments come for you....and they will, I encourage you to consider the cost. Lot's wife looked back at her past too long and became a pillar of salt.....so, I guess you can say she was too "salty" to move forward! ...lol But seriously, let the past go.....acknowledge it, but let it go.....learn from it....but let it GO! Trust me, it will be more than worth it! #KendraSpeaksLYFE
