The GoBB 1 update is PEAK, and since it focuses on The Nanny, I’d like to share my headcanon!!!
First of all, my headcanon for Zolphius is that they're essentially a vessel containing monster souls; their very being is made up of the souls of the monsters cast into the abyss (which is why they dwells there, and why I designed them as a moth, since moths symbolize death!) They watches over the entire kindergarten from the abyss—acting as a protector, or a god to the habitants of Givanium Village
As for The Nanny, I think she’s a manifestation of Zolphius—or perhaps one of his souls—capable of moving more freely around the kindergarten. She keeps a close watch on the Father and is also omniscient. That’s how I explain the events of the Chapter 1 update and what happened during Syringeon’s death scene
