Down come the Ramparts || Tatiana x Abigail
tatianawitchdoctor:
âYou want to leave home??â It comes as a surprise to her, in spite of all she knows of Abigailâs capricious nature. Somehow, she figured that for all her talk, the young woman wouldnât be willing to stray too far from her family; towards the only ones who had her back for certain after sheâd shunned the support of Arcadiaâs Coven. And a part of her wants to dissuade Abigail from leaving, if only for the fact that thereâd be no one to keep an eye over the girl that way. But when she opens her mouth to continue, the words that come surprise even herself.
âMaybe⌠Maybe thatâd be for the best.â As she lays adder stones out in a circle around them, Tatiana thinks back to her own youthful desires to escape the cooped up town; and how they never quite amounted to anything. âYouâll see things out there⌠Gain experiences that youâll probably never have if you stay here your whole lifeâŚâ The Supreme crushed a mixture of sage, pennyroyal and rosemary in a small bowl in order to ward off any defensive spirits that had been summoned to protect the barrier while it was up. Once crushed, she set fire to the mixture with a simple spell; letting the incense waft into the air as she set the bowl aside. âThereâs a whole universe thatâll shape you and that⌠Maybe you can shape in turn.â Turning her gaze back onto Abigail, Tatiana motioned for her to come closer before reaching out to grab her hand. âDo you feel any attachment to Arcadia?⌠Do you think youâll ever return?â With another quick spell, she caused a burst of flame to come forth between their fingers.
âYessiree,â the young witch replied, smirking. The slight smirk disappeared from her face entirely, however, once the other shared her thoughts. Did she seriously think it was for the best? Wasnât she afraid that Abigail would get herself into trouble with her magic? Honestly, sheâd thought about the small possibility of her parents being okay with the decision and itâŚterrified her. It would mean that if she lost control it would be her responsibility and hers alone to take care of herself. A sense of doom weighed on her heart.
The flames between the two were what brought her out of her musing then, the feel of her magic melding with the Supremeâs calming her nerves. She didnât know the exact spell being done, but having the elements at hand was sure to help. Focusing on the four candles theyâd set up around them each representing the four elements, she lit them up with a bit of the shared magic. Then, with her free hand, she raised it above herself and willed a small bit of her magic to surround them both.
âPhasmatos invisique.â That should hide them from any curious eyes. As for the otherâs questionâŚ
âI wish I could say no, and that I can stay away from this place. But Iâve lived here all my life. Of course, Iâll visit.â I couldnât leave without the thought of returning, anyway, Abigail thought to herself.
