Journal Day 4
“Peer Social Comparison and Setting Comparison”
“The world is a jungle you either fight or run forever”. In everyday life we may face challenges that are too hard for us. But these challenges are for your development as a person. The only thing we can do is face it. You can turn your back and run away from it, but you may lose the chance of developing yourself as a better person.
As an adolescent, because of this challenges we often compare ourselves to others. This can have either a negative effect or a positive effect on a person. But if you compare yourself by learning from the person who you are comparing to, not by looking down on them just to feel better. Your personal development will improve and you will face your challenges frequently because you have a goal to reach by becoming that certain someone or even becoming greater than that person.
As we grow older our challenges gets harder, but no challenges that are too hard for us to face. If you have the will to do it you can do it. Don’t lose hope to yourself because everything you see right now is darkness. Just continue hoping and someone/something will come and show you the light in this world.
