Listen to them. Now. Don't expect to understand what they say, but it will be well worth it. Currently have the album Valtari getting me through my work.

There Might Be Coffee - Deadmau5
This has got to be the catchiest of the songs from Deadmau5's new album > album title goes here < . The whole album is fantastic and full of surprise guests vocals: Gerard Way, Cypress Hill and Imogen Heap. They each bring their own styling of music to Deadmau5 for him to play with. In other news, Deadmau5 has been seen dating Kat Von D, making him a troll to the tabloids with this cat and mouse couple, hehehe...
I bought some new albums
Expect some new posts...
Album Recommendation - Kathleen Edwards "Voyageur"
Who would have though that a year after finishing my undergraduate and a few months after finally finishing my career course to be fully qualified for my job that I would be taking more online university courses. At least there is some great music to get me through my studies as always. Kathleen Edwards has established herself in the past decade as a formidable force in the indie music scene, but it wasn't until "Change the Sheets" was featured as the Single of the Week that I discovered her. I knew I had to get the album when it came out, because that song was so fantastic. And that I did. It is a fantastic album, a great mix of folk and rock with amazing lyrics and vocals from Ottawa's own Kathleen Edwards. Doing some research, it turns out she is also married to the front man of Bon Iver, just adding to her musical cred. Another favourite of mine of the album is "Chameleon/Comedian" and the whole album is great to relax to, but won't put you to sleep. Check it out, give it a listen, and enjoy.
Sure As The Weather - Amos The Transparent
It's been a really long day, and I'm in need of a pick me up. Oh, hello my favourite band's most recent video. Give it a listen, pass it along, and do yourself a favour by seeing these guys play live. Two new EPs are already out as part of their upcoming LP. Pre-orders here: http://www.amosthetransparent.com/
Album Recommendation - M83 "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming"
I just picked up this album while Christmas shopping, and it is quite bizarre, but the perfect background music that you can also listen to on an attentive level. The band is called M83, they're from France, and they make the music dreams are made of. And when I say dreams, I don't mean "One day I dream to be a rock star." I mean that stuff that happens to you when you go to sleep and enter a world that doesn't make any sense except while you're there. Which is probably why the album (or should I say DOUBLE ALBUM) is called "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming." I also was listening to their previous album "Saturdays = Youth" while reading the Sandman Graphic Novel Series. Great music to get reading done, and it was the perfect soundtrack for a series about, well, dreams. So, I recommend the band, the album, the graphic novel series, and getting some sleep and having dreams of your own.
Bluff - Pilot Speed
A video from Pilot Speed's Wooden Bones album, that kind of flew under the radar. My first time catching a glimpse of it, and I am impressed. Simple. yet beautiful.
I guess Todd Clark was listening to my request for new Pilot Speed music. Check out these 5 B-Sides from Wooden Bones. I definitely enjoyed them.
Miami - Animal Heart.
A new Todd Clark (of Pilot Speed (formerly Pilate)) project. Not sure how I feel about it, I think I would much rather hear a new Pilate track. Definitely a new direction for Mr. Clark.
Lying on the pavement, you'll find what you're after.
Pilate - Knife Grey Sea
It - Rich Aucoin.
What do you get when you mix an amazing artist from Halifax (who is one of the best live performances you will ever see), mix in some of his best music, and make a music video referencing Top Gun, Ghost Busters, E.T., and more? Clearly one of the BEST music videos I have seen in a very long time. Enjoy!
Change the Sheets - Kathleen Edwards.
I'm really digging this tune. The vocals of Kathleen Edwards are great, and on the first few listens, the lyrics are beautiful. Can't remember where I heard this song first, but you can check it out on CBC radio 3's bucky awards page. It's a great place to discover some of Canada's best musical acts.
Whiring - The Joy Formidable.
Awesome track by a Welsh band. It's not the radio version, so get ready to have your face melted off by a long building instrumental outro that adds a few minutes to the song.
Dan Aykroyd with parts of BCAOC-0003 at the Heart and Crown in the Byward Market in Ottawa. That's me on right!

Time for a new start to the blog. I am doing this by reposting an old video from my birthday last year. It always puts a smile on my face. Well, like I said, new blog, new life, so... Here's to new beginnings.
