So I’ve run into the problem a lot where I literally cannot read people’s pages because the font is too small or the color schemes are unreadable to me, so please share this page “Textise.”
While it doesn’t make finding rules, etc. easier, it does help you read threads/pages if you are visually impaired and have a link to copy the page. Usually pages can be zoomed in, but sometimes the layout doesn’t allow for that so this could be helpful and it’s free!

// I mentioned this yesterday, but I’m going to say it again. Daenerys Targaryen is a better character in the books than she is on the show. As of ADWD, she learned the important lesson that dragons don’t plant trees. Fair enough, but that doesn’t mean that she’s going to show up in Westeros and burn the whole place down. Even if she did, it would go against who she is as a character.
You see, book!Dany is someone who cares about other people and their opinions. In the books, she delegates her power to others. She doesn’t hog it for herself because she knows that other people might have useful advice or experience that she might not have. She also does care a lot about people. She tried to do everything right in Meereen and failed because she cared too much as well as because she was inexperienced.
Daenerys is also extremely flawed in the books. Like any other human being, she can be unbearable, petulant, and extremely selfish. There are a lot of times in the fifth book where I wanted to throw the book against the wall because Daenerys was so insufferable. However, Dany’s selfishness and poor decision making is something that makes us empathize with her. If she was just a Mary Sue, then we wouldn’t care at all.
The thing that really grinds my gears about the show is that D&D took a complex, three dimensional character and shat the bed. Yes, there were moments when book!Daenerys was there in the first couple of seasons, but she wasn’t the Daenerys that book readers knew. She was a shadow of herself and Emilia Clarke’s poor acting skills did her no favors. As the seasons progressed, show!Daenerys and book!Daenerys diverged so much that one had absolutely nothing to do with the other.
I think what really did it for me was when Daenerys got on Drogon and gave her big speech to the Dothraki about burning men in their armor and wrecking their stone castles. That was just it for me. Daenerys Targaryen may be many, many things, but she’s not a genocidal idiot. If she was that, then she would be Aerys and we know she’s not.

// I really do not understand why some people just start drama for the sake of drama. I’m not talking here about people who call others out on their negative or threatening behavior. I’m talking about those people who go on their blogs, say something extremely provocative, and then watch the rpc burn for a few hours while they sit back in their easy chairs and watch it all happen.
I really don’t understand this kind of behavior. I mean, what kind of person goes out of their way to deliberately make another feel uncomfortable? What kind of people spend their days in this rpc constantly causing drama? I mean, why not go and watch a movie, read a book, do some homework, or go outside? Why stay in and cause drama when it’s not necessary or even warranted?

Today there are people trying to take away rights that our mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers fought for: our right to vote, our right to choose, affordable quality education, equal pay, access to health care. We the people can’t let that happen.
