i wanted to use this valentine’s day to thank everyone who has helped make my rp experience a blast, both on atihsonne and on konohaki. i’ve only had this blog since mid-november (about 3 months now) but it’s a remake of a muse that i’ve been writing for nearly two years now, and lemme tell ya he has changed and grown and become that fictional character i could cry over if you just say ‘wakunan’. i’ve gone through the same process quitting and then coming back with konoha too because, in the end, i am literally chikara and love rping too much to stay away, even if i can’t do it as often as i’d like anymore and am as slow as a salted snail. they are both minor characters so i appreciate everyone who has followed me and stuck around to see me finagle these puppet strings! a whole lot of you are new & we’ve yet to interact and some of you are still here and some of you have moved on to other fandoms or off tumbr completely. some of these thank you’s feel long overdue because i can’t tag you anymore, but cop a seat anyway okay? i’m kind of bad at this honestly i dread accidentally missing someone (disclaimer: i will) or being too bad at expressing stuff so buckle up and grab the aed!!!

okay, so i am really surprised that me and yoko have come this far, because when i look at other blogs, we’re literally just a smol needle in a sea of straws. but you all followed us and made the few months here really great! that’s why i’ll say something to the few people that i hold dear or have made being on this blog special;

❛ @echostared / sophie, i think you are the person i have talked to the most recently! besides us screaming at each other because of the pain that is yoko’s poor unrequited love for akaashi, you have also dragged me into lifeline hell and given me some really good recommendations regarding music! you are generally such a nice and wonderful person and i LOVE rping or talking to you in general! you were also very welcoming when i first talked to you and that still means a lot to me, so— please remain being such a precious nugget and bring light to people’s life!

❛ @kenxing / kaien. goddamit, where the fuck do i start here?? we met when you actually approached me because i liked a plotting call on kenji and FOR SOME REASON WE THEN CONCLUDED THAT WE BOTH LIKED SEMISHIRA AND????? that escalated lmao. we always tried to squeeze in some time to talk about them between your work and SHITTY sleeping times and my classes and hell, it was worth it. you are very passionate about lots of things and despite our age difference, you don’t brush me off like i first expected you to when we figured out that you were older than me and that really helped my self-esteem out! thanks so much for being an awesome buddy and conversation partner!!! /also whispers that we should talk a bit more again lol

❛ @konohaki / ashes, you were the one that actually inspired the idea of yoko being more than just two goody-shoes in her current verse. i am still really grateful for that, because it fits her character so much more and you and konoha were also the ones that kinda helped me to grow accustomed to roleplaying with people whose characters used other pronouns than him/her and that has also helped me a great bunch! and your vocabulary is godly, i kinda want to build a shrine every time i look at something you wrote lmao. thank you for being patient and a great source of inspiration!

❛ @briightestsmile / sun, you and suga were one of the people that made me feel really at ease being on here. you interact with so many people and still are a real senpai to me in all of this. the idea of making yoko and suga live so close and actually be childhood friends still warms my heart up every time i look at one of our threads!! so thank you for being welcoming af on here and setting such a nice example!

        As much as he LOVES volleyball–to the point of BREATHING it–unfor-         tunately, Tooru would like a break from dreaming about a ball sailing over a         net and over people’s heads. A nice solution that’s beneficial?

        Why, FOOTBALL, of course!

        People kicking a ball back and forth, not too many people in the stands so it         guarantees general privacy–how can it get any better? It CAN’T consider-         ing that when the brunet comes to some stands, someone looks quite FAMI-         LIAR and not even in the “good” way considering.

        Beaten? Yes.         Made it to Nationals? N O.

        One can only hope it goes unheeded as Seijou’s previous captain is forced         to take a seat near a brat. All he can do is hope this guy doesn’t turn to his         left…

even he needs a break from the mundane. he’s passionate and driven ( wouldn’t be the captain otherwise ), but pulling back every once and a while is good for his mental health –– especially after his team’s previous bitter defeat at seijoh’s hands. the only consolation is that aobajōsai lost as well. ( and yes, kenji is shallow enough to find peace in that fact. )

always a sore loser, kenji is ; but he actually likes football. if he hadn’t been so immersed in volleyball ( he has aone to blame for that ), then he might’ve been dribbling the checkered ball instead of doing receives. maybe his luck would have been better, too. maybe he would have emerged victorious.

oh well. no points in pondering the what ifs. he sighs, chin rested in the palm of his hand, and he lets it slide onto his cheek, head lulling to stare off into space. at the expanse of blue sky to his left, dotted with clouds that occasionally blot out the sun. the five - second cold is a nice relief. 

he’s burning up. has been ever since he’s been eliminated from the tournament. sweltering with his shame and resentment. enough for sweat to bead on the peak of his forehead.
