Funerals... They are not really for the dead are they? We think we are there to bury a body but truly we are there to bury our baggage. To let them go if we are to continue being useful with our lives. Regret, anger, that thing you didn't say to them, that thing you think they owed you... If we hold onto that then we are at our own funeral. Life is too short for regret. Too short to negotiate dyeing your hair for the past 4 years, too short not to love, too short to have shit people in your lives, too short to be guarded, to short not to have a little heaven down here, too short not to have a ring of rose in your hair, too short not to roll around the floor with your 3 year old niece/nephew, too short to still be doing what you hate, too short to worry about a long post... 😏 ... Too short not to create awesome shit because you're not sure how "they'll" receive it, too short to bring others down (when you're dead they'll rise), too too short not to bust a move like Nufunk/Msafiri /Jinku would on any dance floor, too short not to reconnect with old friends, too short not to freaking use the words I love you.
