Motivation comes in waves then goes away.
My head is a mess,
can I get out ?
Don't want to speak,
can I die now ?
Some poems are for few people, yet we all crave for it.

There are times when I remember you,
A void that can't be filled.
You should know you were the best,
temple to toe.

BY THE LAKE
DT: 11th July 2016
“I held your arm and our fingers embraced each other. My head rested on your shoulder.”
* * *
The car came to a halt. Vivek took Anna’s violin from the back seat and passed it on to her. Before Anna could get out of the car, he drove the car and stopped a little ahead. People moved up and down the road and they waited for the road to clear but sadly Vivek didn’t have the patience and he drove off the car to a different direction.
He drove around the town and ultimately stopped near the bridge of the town by the lake. They came out of the car to actually have a walk but then things were unplanned. Anna picked up some stones from the roadside and started throwing into the lake. Vivek followed her and did the same.
They walked around for sometime looking for stones and throwing them off in the lake. Vivek found a big round stone of about 10 kilograms in weight near the ‘ghat’ and picked it up with all his might. He took one round spin and threw the stone into the lake almost throwing off himself. Anna laughed out.
“You’re weird. No, actually we’re weird. Looking for stones to throw into the lake at night.” Vivek said to Anna and smiled.
They walked up the road and they wanted to enter the lake compound but the gate was locked.
Anna climbed onto the railings of the wall to have a better view of the lake. Vivek stood at her back. She looked over her shoulder and said, “Let’s do the trust fall.” Vivek smiled. Although she was scared, she decided to give it a try.
Make sure the angle is correct where you’re gonna hold me.
Yeah! The angle’s perfect. Just give it a go.
Ok. You sure about this?
Of course! Now fall.
*whap*
Anna falls off and almost hit the ground only to be saved by Vivek’s strong arms. She indeed got that mini heart attack.
‘Got scared?’, Vivek asked Anna.
Yeah! I almost choked my heart out.
Let’s do it again. That was fun.
‘Seriously?’ Anna asked surprisingly.
Yes! Let’s do it!
‘Okay! Be sure to catch me properly this time.’ Anna gave Vivek a sharp look.
I will. Trust me. Remember it’s a trust fall?
Ok then. Ready?
Ready!
*whap*
Anna falls off again but was quickly held by Vivek from her back. She opened her eyes and felt relieved.
And the trust fall happened once more!
Anna extended her walk on the wall and stood at a point where the railing had completely fallen off. She asked Vivek to climb over so that they can enter the lake compound and have a walk inside.
Once inside, they walked by the side of the lake and sat down on a cemented seat. Anna held his arm and their fingers embraced each other. Her head rested on his shoulder. The cool wind was breezing. It was a cool and peaceful night.
They sat there for a long time discussing about life. How things have changed, how they lived their life before. All about their school memories and laughed out all the while.
Time just flies when they’re together.
“I guess my Mom must be calling me.” Vivek said to Anna.
“Same here. I’ll be so screwed.”Anna replied.
“I’m hungry too!” Vivek exclaimed.
I’m sorry we couldn’t eat anything.
It’s alright. We should leave now. It’s getting too late.
Okay. Let’s move!
They got up and walked towards the gate.
“It’s weird how we met.” Anna said.
‘I mean like after two years, we meet again but I had no idea, not even in my dreams that things would be this way like it is now.’
‘Who would have thought!’ Vivek exclaimed and smiled.
They got inside the car and checked their phones first thing.
‘Wow! My mom didn’t call me.’
‘I got three miscalls from my Mom.’ Anna replied.
Vivek started the car and they drove off towards Anna’s house.
