I’ve just bought a Raspberry Pi
It was my birthday on Wednesday (I’m 42 *ahem*). So, with my birthday money, I bought myself a Raspberry Pi 2.
It arrived this afternoon and I’ve just spent the last hour or so setting it up. It was really easy to get up and running and I could browse the web with it and access the other functions such as the Scratch programming environment and Python.
In a way it reminds me of my old ZX81, because it’s a small and affordable computer designed to teach skills, like engineering and programming, as a opposed to being something that you can just play games on.
As you can see, I bought the Dummies book for it (you have to start somewhere) so I’m going to have a read about it and get up to speed before I start dabbling. I’ll post updates on what I’m doing with it on my blog.
So cool, happy birthday man!
