Benny followed the younger boy on the floor. He’d thought mayble they’d go to a more suitable place, but this was good too. He grabbed the plate and the cake looked delicous. As he went in for his first bite, he stopped when the boy mentioned vegan. What the hell was vegan? Apparently it was something not many people liked from the look on the other boy’s face. “I’ve never had vegan cake before. To be honest, I don’t even know what that means, but it looks just as good as any cake I’ve ever seen. So, don’t worry so much about it, alright?” Benny picked up his fork again and took a bite. “Hell, this isn’t half bad, uh… I’m sorry I didn’t catch ya name.”

"Oh uh," Kevin reddened a little when the other boy mentioned he didn't even know what vegan cake was "It wasn't made with any animal products or anything like that"  Watching the hufflepuff eat thought he seemed to like he was enjoying it, so that was a plus. Cutting himself a piece the young ravenclaw took a bite of his own cake, the rich chocolate flavor overtaking his mouth. "Uh Kevin, my name is Kevin tran" he responded aster he swallowed.

Yes I looked at the title. It's called Properties of Tranfiguration as it Occurs in Non-Organic Objects.

A Very Merry "Un-birthday" to You | Benny and Kevin

Looking at the package as he walked down the Owlry Tower Kevin couldn’t believe his eyes. He was holding, in his very own hands, His mother’s vegan chocolate cake. If Kevin tran was ever going to get excited over anything in this whole entire world it was his mother’s vegan chocolate cake. 

But if there was anything that was going to bring him back down again it was realizing he didn’t really have any one to share it with. Staring at the box in his hands Kevin decided he was going to do something he wouldn’t normally do. He was going to make the best of this, and he was going to ask the first person he saw if they wanted to share his cake with him. 

Bounding down the hall Kevin beelined for the first person that broke his line of sight. ”Umm excuse me, so uh I know this sounds weird, but do you by any chance want some cake?” Kevin asked hoping that by some stroke of luck this stranger would want to help him celebrate his birthday.

It was almost Christmas and instead of being excited as he always was, he was the complete opposite. He knew this year, in the state he was in, that he couldn’t show his face at home. He tried to keep his mind off of it, but it haunted him. When he wasn’t in class or practice he stayed in his room.

Today was different. Benny couldn’t sit in his room all day anymore, he needed to get out and plus he was a little hungry. Walking the halls, Benny tried to avoid contact with other students. It was working well, until a small, Ravenclaw approached him.

The kids request was weird, but quite generous. Benny thought of turning him down, but he had cake and it would save him the trip to the kitchens. Benny gave the young boy a small smile. “Doesn’t sound weird at all. I’d love some.”

"Great!" Kevin couldn't help but smile at the stranger and he whipped out  the plates his mother had sent with it. Always prepared his mother. Sitting down on the cold hard floor Kevin cut a piece of cake and handed it to the Stranger. "i will-uh will warn you though, its vegan" He said holding the plate out to him as his face instantly turned down. He probably shouldn't have said that. I mean who wants a vegan cake. no one thats who. But then again he would have felt even worse if he didn't at least warn the person beforehand.

Jo laughed, “You’re fine. Hey, you’re Ravenclaw too, right? I’m Jo.” She moved over so he could set his books down and sit near her.

Nodding Kevin looked down at the space she cleared for him, gingerly placing his books there. “Uh I’m Kevin, Kevin tran”

"Nice to meet you." Jo smiled. "What classes are you studying for?" She asked, trying coax him out of his timid shell.

"Um, Potions, actually." Kevin responded going through his usual pre study laying out all his materials routine. "I figured since i didn't do to hot last term I should get an early start on this term. What are you studying for?" He hoped the slight nervousness he was experiencing right now wasn't showing as he tried to at least carry on a conversation with the other girl.

"I-uh-I wasn't trying to sneak up on you I swear. I just needed a place to sit" Kevin stuttered out books in hand. To be honest the younger Ravenclaw didn't really need to be in the library at the moment It was never to early to get a leg up on his studies. Or at least that what he liked to tell himself.
