Orastim Mass

Continuing in the measurement series of posts, I'm going to explore how mass is measured on Orastim.  See the previous on Orastim length here.  See also Orastim time and temperature for those respective measurements. The principle unit of mass in Retopela Meisuse is the Agel, equivalent to 0.429 grams- a small amount indeed.  Prefixes are added to increase or decrease the value, as with other RM measurements.  1kg would equal 2.331 Eragel.  The table below outlines the different units and their equivalent values.  The range of a 70 kilogram person is roughly 16 Aneragel.

Taneali: The End of Gudele

See here for the previous in the Taneali series of posts.  Also, the newly constructed timeline may help you. Shortly after the end of the First War of Orastim came the discovery of New Darknor and its people, the Islyn.  Daab experienced a period of technological changes towards the end of the Gudele period, prompting new reforms across the lands.  Increases in agricultural production, ease of transport, facilitation of transport and communication all led to gains for the Tanealian people.  Such gains, however, also brought about much hardship and new challenges to the Daab kingdom.  In addition, the separation of the single Hepid Malalir kingdom into two separate kingdoms, Hepid and Lasnar, fuelled an increase in trade with both newly formed kingdoms and Daab.  A defined and standardised currency was also introduced into the Daab kingdom, increasing its wealth.  Many constructions were underway, least of which the upgrades to the capital, Besaeme.  Though prosperous as a kingdom, most of its people were not quite so well off.  However, the end of Gudele is often remembered because it brought about a new age in magic.  The discovery of various older artefacts, especially books, and the increase in knowledge brought from the war with the Vorgabar, increased the horizons of magic and established the four main magic types that magicians use to cast magic today- Acau, Orada, Sivé and Alio.  Thus brought the Gudele/Tigóa Viul period to a close.
