Colin Wyckoff, or Kitty0706, would have been 31 years old today.

It's surreal to think he'd have been my age by now. His material may have been zany, but he always did say some of the most profound and poignant things.

I'll be honest...I took way longer on this drawing than I should have...But it's not my finest work anyway. In truth, I have trouble drawing cartoony characters due to the lack of human-esque characteristics that I'm kinda-sorta used to drawing.

I mean, given how rarely I can get myself to focus on drawing these days...Its hard to say 100%.

But considering that this is my first drawing in almost...2-3 years...I'm happy I did something.

My apologies for my dryspell as of late.

I've been taking way too long with my recent drawing, this I know. A combination of sidetracking from family events, enjoyment of the outdoors, pressure from CompTIA+ related matters and work, and major depression from political matters have definitely made drawing alot harder for me.

All I've had the energy to do is seek catharsis. Hence why you've seen posts mainly from my blog handle @kitchenfreshpigeon.

I'll get some stuff pumped out soon enough, promise.

Summer on the horizon

Even though Spring break's over, the heat is still gonna beat, and beach will always be a peach...

I lost track of how long I've tried to perfect this drawing in particular, but after mid-2023 I decided it was time to cut it with the perfectionism, and how many times I've reposted this drawing. This was something I did during the end of Summer in the middle of Hurricane Ian back in 2022. A bit rushed as you can tell by the background, but it's better than simply using a snapshot as a background. It became more a catharsis piece than anything else given the circumstances.

Probably my biggest regret is the fact it was rushed, and I felt I did give "Schaffer"'s abs a bit too much definition than I intended the first time I posted this way back in 2022. He's meant to have a build that's a balance between strength and aesthetic, but more in the strength department...and a defined abdomen doesn't equate to strength, so it feels out of place for his build. Not to mention..."Ann"'s face felt a bit rushed as well given how it seems a bit wider than intended, could have been better; that I cannot fix. Though, in my defense I didn't give him hypertrophy so I guess I succeeded somewhat in that regard, but still...given the circumstances that I was under when I was drawing this? I'll give myself a pass just this once.

One day I'll give these two a proper introduction...but first, I gotta get the ball rolling with my drawing habits and webcomic work.

Well, I'll be...I finally did it.

I decided to expand on this website a bit.

Granted, some of my works won't be here due to policy but...still, there are other websites for that. In anycase, stay tuned!
