You have no idea just how many mob sketches i have...
watching the mogami arc for the first time was so jarring đ and then they decide to twist the knife by immediately following it up with the seperation arc
alternate version I did a while back and didnât post
forget valentines its pain and suffering day now
REIGEN
mob cycle 100
AU where Reigen doesn't care about Mob's lungs
[The text is from here]
making sure i can still draw him
was going thru old sketches and found long teruki
Is this what you want
I see so many people contextualizing ???âs lines as a sort of villain monologue, but as a ??? apologist, I have to assert that ??? is nowhere close to a villain. Thatâs why this part of their conversation is so important to me.
Heâs desperately trying to communicate to Mob that no one can save him from this, not because he likes to see himself suffer, but because this is Mobâs problem and it can only be solved by Mob. He canât keep repressing and avoiding and running away from it. Reigen canât swoop in at the last minute and shoulder his burden this time.
Heâs saying âno one will save meâ not because he relishes in it, but because he needs Mob to understand the gravity of what heâs done to himself and to be spurred into fixing it.
And ??? isnât wrong about all this. Mob has always been the one whoâs saved himself. HIS POWERSâ???âhave always been the one to save him, always the one to carry him home, whether from the clutches of murderous terrorists, Mogamiâs mental hellscape, or a city-leveling explosion. He practically held the blood in Mobâs head when it was cracked open on the asphalt.
Without this part of Mob, Reigen wouldâve sat there and held Mobâs empty body in the Asagiri estate until the paramedics forced it away from him. He wouldâve never come home. He wouldâve been incinerated in that explosion, and Teru, Ritsu, and Reigen wouldâve searched for hours (they already found him like 4-5 hours after the explosionâimagine the agony already there, and they found him) and wouldâve never seen him again. Ritsu would get a call in his student council meeting telling him that paramedics found his brother dead on the street from extensive head trauma and blood loss and he would never see his brother laugh and smile again, were it not for this side of Mob who loves him and wants to be him again but sees no other way out. Who has been alone and ignored and destroyed through Mobâs heavy guilt.
He loves Mob because he is Mob and Mob is he, but he cannot keep living like this. He almost died like this, and it cannot continue. Imagine saving yourselfârestarting your own heart, guarding your body, and then being looked at by yourself and told that you are unwanted and that you should disappear.
No one will save him because he should not be saved from himself.
shou gets the kageyama parents out of the house then explains his plans to defeat claw to ritsu and ritsu agrees then once they step outside shou goes "hey ritsu could you turn around and count to one thousand for me?" and ritsu goes "ok :)" then while his back is turnes shou's lackeys pull up in a uhaul and the four of them work together to looney toons style package every single item in the house into boxes then drive away and shou finishes dumping kerosene all over the floor and turning their oven to high right as ritsu hits nine hundred ninety nine
Reigen is one of those characters where like. he clearly has a strong moral code but not in a way that makes any fucking sense. People compare him to other con artist characters all the time but he would hate these people because he has an ethical objection to taking peopleâs money without actually helping them solve their problems. even though usually his method to solve these problems is Lying.
he is a con artist whoâs morally opposed to scamming people. he has so many scruples and yet continues to run a business where he lies to literally everyone who comes through the door. i am going to study him like a bug.
he does actually go to the office but itâs entirely out of pity
they got him đ
