Heads turn as you enter the room, but you’re focused on the sight straight ahead of you.
Aqua. Your bride, one of the loves of your life, waiting at the altar right by the ordained minister, Mickey Mouse. Ventus and Terra stand by, right by her side; Ventus’s eyes sparkling as he smiles wide, Terra appearing slightly nervous. You can’t help but worry about him. After all, even if you are marrying Aqua, you still love Terra dearly.
You make your way down the aisle as the music plays, barely noticing the way the sunlight leaves rainbows on the floor as it trickles in through the windows of the grand hall. You glance only briefly at all the familiar faces; friends and foes, all come together to celebrate your love.
As you reach the front and take Aqua’s hand, she squeezes it reassuringly. Her gentle smile always brings you peace, her kind eyes settling your nerves. She’s enchanting, and it isn’t just because of her magic.
The sound of Mickey clearing his throat has you turning your attention to where he stands on a podium beside you. You’re glad you don’t have to look down at him the whole time, that would feel weird. It’s still a little weird that the mouse is officiating your wedding, but like, he’s a king, so it makes sense.
The service begins, your attention mainly on Aqua. Every once in a while, your eyes catch Terra’s as he watches you intently, or you catch a glimpse of him staring at Aqua. it feels more…intense than the eyes of the rest of the audience on the pair of you, and you wonder if Aqua can feel it too.
A beat of silence follows after Mickey asks if anyone objects to your wedding.
“I–I do. I mean, I–” Terra’s strained voice catches most of the audience off guard, and he takes a shaky breath as he glances at them and then focuses back on you and Aqua.
By then, Aqua had turned, her brows furrowed with her attention on Terra.
“I mean, I do want you two to get married, I’m fine with that. I just…want to be part of it.”
The room is so silent once Terra finishes that you hear Demyx whispering to his camera about the drama he just witnessed from the very back of the hall. Then, a moment later, you can’t help but to laugh out loud.
You should’ve known, with the way Terra had been staring at you both for some time. That awkward look of longing mixed with self-pity started appearing frequently after you and Aqua got engaged, but you hadn’t been sure what it meant. You told yourself you were making it up, and assuming that Terra was in love with you too would be conceited.
After a moment, you shared a look with Aqua. She turned her attention back to Terra, hand slowly reaching up to stroke his cheek.
“Terra…” she sighed, “I’d like that. We both would.”
Terra’s face lit up like a puppy hearing the word ‘walk.’
“Gosh, guys, that’s real sweet of you!” Mickey interrupted the moment, “I sure am glad that’s definitely legal in this world.”
After a few more laughs and a whole lot of ‘aw’s’ from the crowd, the three of you all get married together, complete with all the kisses that come with it. You live happily ever after with your wives Aqua and Terra!
THEY FUCKING TIE AND WE MARRY THEM BOTH AND WE ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH TERRAQUA. BECAUSE I SAID SO.
