PSA: FireStarter007 is KingofEli/Luckgandor/Jasperquartz
Mephala’s expansive web, I was really hoping I would never have to do this, but he’s motherfucking back.
Also, tumblr ate this once already and I’m going to flip a table if it eats it again.
Context for the uninitiated:
KingofEli / Luckgandor / JasperQuartz (It’s about time I come out and say I wrote the JasperQuartz post)
TL;DR: Avoid this guy at all costs. I’m going to call him KoE for convenience here.
He consistently scams players out of items, dragons, pure, art, writing, and quite frankly their time, energy, and spoons.
Oh, but it’s worse than that: He’s also an animal hoarder who neglects, if not outright abuses, his “rescue” pets. He’ll get rid of one because he can’t afford to care for it and just immediately replace it with another. That’s if the pets exist at all - I suspect at least some of them do, but I further suspect others may be fictional, or else their conditions exaggerated. He will beg for donations to help pay for vet bills, or food, and then spend that money on something else. This is consistent behaviour, not a one-off mistake.
He’s also a well-known multiaccounter. Every single time he’s been found to be on FR, soon enough folks have found one or two other accounts. It usually takes staff a while to respond, but he does eventually get banned for multiaccounting - and promptly re-join next welcome week. (Yeah on that note open reg is a terrible idea without hiring dozens more reliable, ban-capable staff members.)
I once heard the phrase “emotional sponge”, and I finally understand it. KoE will use anyone who will listen as an emotional sponge. I know, because I have been said sponge. I got sucked into his bullshit - read the JasperQuartz post I wrote for Dracoon’s blog.
I, and many others, strongly suspect he has literal Munchausen’s by proxy. This is a very unfortunate disorder if true, but let me be clear:
It is not your responsibility to look after KoE’s mental health. Yes, he has problems. Yes, he needs help. But none of us are in a position to provide it, and the best thing, for everyone involved, is to ignore him. What he wants most is attention. Do not give it to him. Pre-emptively block his tumblr account, sornieth-killers-repository - which I suspect is a side, so if anyone knows his main I’d be grateful. Pre-emptively block his FR account, FireStarter007

I once advocated for giving KoE a second chance, and some of the community did. Unfortunately, it was the same old story. He’s already begun his old habits, and in a rather distasteful manner to boot.
To recap: FireStarter007 / the admin of sornieth-killers-repository is KoE, who is a terrible peson. Give him zero attention. Don’t waste your time on hate (I really hate that I have to say that). Just ignore him. That is absolutely the best thing you can do. Even this post is giving him what he wants, attention and drama. He will try to make himself a victim, and in a way he is. But that’s a conversation for another day.
