ok i’ll admit it she was my favorite when i was a kid

she was toooo relatable!! and not in a mary sue kind of way!! just a girl who feels like she’s failing and falling short of the expectations of her family and seeks solace in this loud crazy kid who wears failure like a badge and doesn’t let it discourage him. 

in so many ways, i felt personally offended that her extreme anxiety, family trauma, and desperation to not only support naruto but also like…be him was not explored more in depth! give her autonomy that begins with naruto and ends with her. like she deserved a moment to be like ‘listen im the shit and while naruto inspired me, he didn’t do this work for me bitch! it’s all me baby’

and also we just needed more hinata and more team eight in general, but i suppose that’s another rant for another day

anwayssss, yes 8yo lib stanned hard and 24yo lib mourns the lost opportunity to further explore her potential as well as the decision to sideline her for most of the series.
