With American Thanksgiving coming up, I'd like to remind everyone reading this that it's a day of mourning for the Wampanoag people. If you can, donate to help them preserve their culture, their language, and to fight for their legal rights and recognition.
If you live in the New England area, make a trip out to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Museum. Hear the history of the First Thanksgiving from the people who were most affected by it. They go into detail of the events and cultural impacts of the first five years after the Mayflower's landing.
Support the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and its efforts to protect their homeland and many programs.
the co-founder of 'crips for esims for gaza' and disability advocate, alice wong, has died according to her twitter account.
alice's disability advocacy naturally led her to palestine solidarity as the quote from the blog post announcing 'crips for esims' illustrates:
We also recognize that everyone in Gaza is now disabled due to the massive number of deaths, new disabilities, life-threatening illnesses and destruction of medical facilities going on. Such destruction also debilitates the land, water, and air, which will impact Palestinians and all surrounding life for generations to come. We owe our kin in Palestine to throw sand on the gears of genocide with our every breath. [source: the disability visibility project]
since december 2023, crips for esims for gaza has raised well over $3.1M and bought and maintained over 5,000 esims, undoubtedly saving lives.
in the past few days there has been intense winter flooding in gaza. donate to honor alice wong's memory–to keep people connected, to give disabled people the tools to advocate for themselves, to refuse to let palestine be silenced.
Crips for eSims for Gaza is a collaboration between Jane Shi, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Alice Wong.
Bisan says that among all the aid organisations working in North Gaza right now, Ele Elna Elak is one of the most effective, geared towards resolving the water scarcity and making clean water and vegetables available to Gazans.
Donate if you can and share.
i assume everyone readings this is already skeptical of this "ceasefire" but i wanna emphasize that palestinians are not out of danger and fundraising continues to be just as urgent as it was when the bombing was frequent.
in violation of the terms of its own ceasefire agreement, and along with other violations, israel has said it will cut aid to gaza by half.
aid for gaza was already extremely limited and inaccessible but this move is going to slow the recovery of gaza's economy, it's going to keep prices high and its going to limit who can access aid to whoever has a lot of money. which is why it's incredibly important that people do not lose interest in supporting gaza.
bridge of solidarity, the anticapitalist, anti racist and pro lgbtq org, is currently fundraising to keep people housed in the upcoming winter.
the sameer project, which manages multiple refugee camps in gaza and provides medical aid, reported that donations decreased by 50% since the ceasefire was announced. this deflation of our movement is part of the purpose of mainstream media surrounding the ceasefire. the sameer project is requesting donations for tents to house people during the rainy season.
connecting humanity is still trying to get people connected to the internet through esims. so is crips for esims for gaza
my friend of over a year, siraj, is trying to travel from deir al balah to his home in the north. i would greatly appreciate it if he got some donations too.
please consider donating to the north gaza cruelty-free kitchen/camp + cruelty-free water project
btw while people continue to fight the system don't forget about Undue Medical Debt (formerly RIP Medical Debt), a charity that buys and forgives medical debt. on average a donation of $10 will forgive $1,000 of medical debt.
I'm fairly confident that this is now the one original post I've made that has gotten the most notes, and I honestly couldn't be happier. the more attention we give this, the higher the chances that someone will see this and donate. medical debt is both one of the most crushing things a person can deal with and one of the stupidest things humanity has invented. and if you live in the US, I have no doubt that you've had to deal with medical debt in your life, either for yourself or a loved one. even a small donation can do so much good, and now is the time of year when we are encouraged to think of others.
Israel cuts Gaza's final internet line, plunging it into total communication blackout.
Israel bombed the last main fibre route in Gaza, which means that as of June 12, all internet and fixed-line communication services are now completely cut off, further isolating Gaza amidst an ongoing genocide.
I am seeing more and more calls from inside of Gaza for help with eSims as that is currently the only way they can connect internally and with the outside world.
- Buy eSIMs here.
- If you can't afford it, you can donate any amount to this eSIM fund.
- Instructions on how to buy and share eSIMs.
Independent bookstores, and booksellers, get a lifeline just when they need it most.
Independent bookstores around the country have a particularly clever lifeline, one perfectly suited to the unprecedented moment we find ourselves in. The strange part? It came into being just weeks before the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic, and before the bookstores started closing up shop wondering if they’d reopen at all.
The lifeline in question is called Bookshop.
In simple terms, it’s a super clean, user-friendly online bookstore whose raison d’être is supporting independent bookstores — not simply with exposure or resources (though that’s certainly a factor), but with cold hard cash…
SUPPORT PALESTINIAN BUSINESSES
while it’s important for us to protest, raise awareness, boycott, and pressure our governments… it is also important that we appreciate palestinian people and palestinian culture. they are more than just victims. they are artists, entrepreneurs, fashion designers, movie makers, writers, musicians, scholars—they are people. so let’s celebrate all that makes palestinians who they are by supporting their businesses and showing our appreciation and solidarity.

my friend siraj (verified #219) has been unable to evacuate an area actively being re-invaded by the iof due to a lack of funds. he has confirmed that the occupation forces are mere meters away from him. he and his family of 24 are in the most acute danger now, if that is even quantifiable when they are otherwise still suffering under a genocide.
he needs to reach 10K euros at the very least, and that is 860 euros away. donate here and please share
This is the worst time to give into apathy, to give into "compassion fatigue", to give into defeatism. Things are dire. So fucking dire.
Like did you know the International Court of Justice has dismissed the case against the UAE for being complicit in genocide because they lack jurisdiction? Did you also know that drones have attacked Port Sudan, where aid would enter the country? The main power station has been hit, leaving the city in a blackout!
So please make noise for Sudan. We need a permanent ceasefire and we need the UAE, along with other countries, such as Russia, Libya, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia to be held accountable. Make sure to boycott, protest, and of course, donate! How about you donate and share my friend's, Randa, @rnd8, fundraiser? She is a Sudanese living in Rwanda and she is raising funds to evacuate her family. Thankfully, her father and 3 sisters have evacuated and reunited with her, but her two brothers are still left behind in Southern Khartoum to this day!
Let's reach the 34K mark ASAP! There is €816 left to go! Plus, GFM has given an extension, but it has passed, which means the fundraiser can close at any moment! You can match me. I have given €10, but you are more than welcome to give any amount! ! !
Hello, everyone ! My name is Randa , and my friends organized this fundraiser t… Lionel Akimana needs your support for Help Randa's Family
Verification: Shared by Jin (@/jinforjustice on IG), and @/northgazaupdates!
€33,184 / €35,000
Currently at €33,199! The last donation was made a day ago! Please donate and share. Randa's brothers have been seperated from her and the rest of the family long enough. It is about time they have been reunited! So let's reach the 33.5K mark! There is €301 left to go!
Tagging for reach. Please leave a reply if you wish to be removed. Thank you.

israel has already killed at least 16,000 children (not including those killed of disease, starvation or trapped under rubble) including dozens who were directly sniped in the head. the UN chief warning that 14,000 more babies could die within 48 hours (as of May 20th, 2025) without outlining consequences for what happens if israel doesn't comply just sounds like he's letting israel know how their progress towards killing as many palestinians as possible is going
if you tell someone who has already killed 16000 children that they can double that number in a couple of days, and they still refuse to let trucks of fucking baby formula in, then you can safely conclude that their goal is to kill these children. babies can't consume anything except milk and formula. they cannot even consume water. if their mothers are also being starved to death, they cannot produce milk. and if a baby is 48 hours away from starving to death, then they have already suffered potentially permanent side-effects from malnutrition that will affect their development. hundreds of thousands of children in the gaza strip are already going to suffer the consequences of these two months of starvation for the rest of their lives.
israel has been committing genocide for 19 months. we told you this and the world pretended otherwise and punished those who said it even when israel didn't deny it. now israel is making it impossible for anyone to ignore it. literally impossible. they are starving children to death and the world continues to pretend anything short of immediate military intervention is feasible. israel is not going to stop unless they are stopped. this is the moral and rational position. we do not live in a moral and rational world. that's why we're sitting here acting like a country blocking baby formula from an indigenous people in a cage being bombed to death is a matter of discussion. in a civilized world there would be no discussion. in a civilized world it would have never reached this point
By now, you all must have seen the news that Gaza had officially run out of food, as one of the main aid suppliers in Gaza, World Food Program, had announced that their stock has been completely depleted, leaving just a few days for community kitchens to function.
This comes after more than 50 days (and counting) of Israel's complete closure of the borders, preventing food and medicine, among other life essentials, from entering Gaza. There are children crying out of hunger with trucks loaded with over 100,000 tons of food mere minutes away from them, which Israel continues to prevent from entering besieged Gaza.
This also comes after Israel had deliberately destroyed swaths of farmlands in Gaza, specifically targeting them with bombs and chemical weapons that destroy the chance of growing crops. Israel also made sure bakeries are destroyed as well as water sources.
Diabolical is an understatement when it comes to the Zionist entity.
There are still things you can do. On top of raising awareness and protesting when possible, independent organisations like APN are working directly with farmers in Gaza to rehabilitate the agricultural sector and restore local food systems to combat famine, counter the blockade and build food sovereignty. You can donate to their Revive Gaza's Farmlands initiative here.
Additionally, keep in mind that this means whatever food supplies remain available in Gaza now costs astronomical amounts of money, so keep sharing and donating to individual fundraising campaigns. Gazafunds is a good source if you're not sure where to start. Remember that your donations and shares are often the only source of hope for these families.
Babygirl I could listen to you talk about things I don't give a single shit about for hours
We need a word for the feeling when you give a shit about something *because* someone you love likes it. Like, music is great, but I’m no musician - never will be. But please, tell me all about the ways punk differs from grunge, why songs with the same chord progression sound so different, what the heck a major key is. I may never understand any of it, not in the way you do, but I am immersed in your exposition, and I never want to leave.
they were right btw. you have to dig yourself out of your grave over and over again
