writer culture is having to rewrite entire scenes because you changed a small detail and everything is connected 😭

This is the main reason I'm just rewriting my entire fic (one of two main reasons anyways) And while we're at it I'll give the (not full but main) list of reasons (and maybe this will make you review your own fics more closely while writing to avoid having to do what I'm having to TT)
Ik there's the saying among us fic writers that 'I don't write the plot, the characters do' and I fear I ran with that a bit TOO far. The original plot was basically non existent, it was more of a background piece, background lore even.
Along side my previous point the two main characters/centred ship was no longer a focus and had somehow shifter to two other characters entirely. So rather than trying to keep it focus on them I've just made it a general fic so it wont matter if the focus changes
I'm one of those fic writers that take forever to update because I write when I have motivation which.... isn't often. I write for myself and post for others is the best way to put it. So therefore when updating there is drastic changes in the quality of the fic.
SO these are things you should also consider while writing a fic or any piece of literature :3
