Streetwear's evolution factors in on its influence as well. Top Designer's like Amiri has noticed streetwear trends like the stretched pants and added it to its F/W 2021 men's collection. The combination of streetwear and designer wear can impact the fashion world positively.

KickTheCup is inspired my MNML.la (modern simplicity). Denim from their site is always keeping up on streetwear trends for an affordable price and KTC offers the same with their premium denim. Personally, my own look with our first constructed denim jeans was from streetwear and MNML.la tags from Tumblr and Instagram.

Evolution
Streetwear in the 80's and 90's were only looked at as a subculture of the hip-hop culture. Nowadays, streetwear especially for men, is being recognized by all designers and people. Designers like Givency and Balenciaga have taken notice and now use the same distressing on their garments like the ones you can find in a thrift store. From being looked down upon to now being fashioned on runaways, men's streetwear looks to be the modern day look for all ages.

Solace means comfort or consolation in a time of distress or sadness. Based from my photography and did a little bit of tweaking the colors to give it that grunge look. I wanted to emphasize the 90’s/00’s grunge era look with a Jodeci type of vibe. The oversized shirts & relaxed pants, the boots, etc. The inspirations of this brand came from 90’s/00’s fashion catalogues, Jodeci, the group Sonder, R&B music , grunge music & avant-garde photography & art.
