10 Dance movie trailer

Finally after all these months we have a trailer, and I'm losing my mindddddd. It's so incredible to watch scenes that I've dreamed of seeing finally play out in live action! But then there's also new stuff to talk about, things that don't happen in the manga.

A very important shot where we can appreciate the hard training Takeuchi put into sculpting his body. And also a peek at the tattoo, which looks even bigger here, like it goes much closer to the...center area heh heh. Is his dick incorporated into the design on this one

Oh poor Sugiki. He thinks his Latin is good, but here he seems to be getting roasted in the club lmao.

Are we getting THE subway makeout scene?! That's all the way at the end of vol 3, so they may be condensing and altering things quite a bit. Though Machida has been in BL with Cherry Magic before, he didn't have any onscreen kissing scenes. Looks like it's finally time for him to break his (and Takeuchi's) man-kissing cherry. If they really do this scene with as much gusto as the original, they'll be very well practiced with man-on-man makeouts going forward in their careers heh heh.

Now this looks like an entirely new scene, with the Shinyas together somewhere private, Suzuki has his shirt off and it looks like things could get intimate, but Sugiki is pushing him away and calling him his enemy. Intense, can't wait to see what leads up to it!

Sugiki crying is definitely a surprise, that does eventually happen in the series, but way later in chapter 42. Wonder if it's something Suzuki is doing that has him enthralled to the point of tears.

The Shinyas dancing together in front of everyone?! It's a fairly common shared headcanon I think, that many assume once the 10 Dance competition has ended, the Shinyas will do the honor dance together and stun the audience. This happening in the movie does give me hope that the headcanon could very well be real, and may still happen in the manga when the time comes (eventually). I'm happy that we have a chance to see it soon in a different version!

I'm so so happy we're finally getting a peek at this! It definitely seems to be leaning heavily into the drama, without any hints of some of the silly fun moments from the manga (at least, not in the trailer). I hope some of that can make it through too, but either way I'm super exictedddd

I'm so happy and intrigued at the new scenes we saw in the trailer! The clubbing one definitely looks so fun, probably where they formed a real bond and really started falling for each other, hehe. This might be a reworked version of Samba de Men's Love (5.5 bonus) where Suzuki took Sugiki to a cafe and danced in a casual setting. Sugiki will definitely still get his Latin dancing teased.

The subway scene is such an important part of the story, but that makes me nervous about how much they'll be able to fit into the movie since it was such a turning point for their relationship..! They cut off just before they kissed, so I'm really curious to see how... faithful they'll stay to the manga in this scene in particular, haha. Many have pointed out that Machida Keita did not have an on-screen kiss as Kurosawa in the Cherry Magic series and movie, so this may be a first for him?? We shall find out!

Then there's a line from Aki "like someone in love" that is also new, because we know that Aki from the manga is even denser than Sugiki and still hasn't figured this out lol. They did say that Aki here is more like an older sister. Suzuki has a concerned look, almost scared of the possibility. I'm also really excited for this scene!

The "enemy" line is quite strange; Sugiki never calls them enemies, so I wonder what the context was. This could be a version of their talk in chapter 27 when Sugiki says "I'm going to be your rival at the 10 Dance. And if that's the level you're at, I'll be disappointed." But the setting is also very different, hmm...

I'm already on the edge of my seat begging to find out what the context was for their last dance! By the looks of it, that is also the scene they used for the movie poster. We haven't even gotten there yet in the manga, but it's coming so soon! The movie was announced this time last year, so it's surreal to me that it's coming in 6 weeks.

I don't expect we'll get the subway kiss scene in the way it was in the manga, but it looks like we'll get at least a little something. Definitely appears to be going in for a kiss. Cherry Magic was quite dry in that area, so that's why my expectations are low that I'll see an actual smooch here, but.. I sure hope I'm wrong. (If it's anything like the manga, be prepared for me to obsess over that scene for weeks. Calling it now. xD)

Really looking forward to that "hip" scene we saw in the trailer, too. :P

It's absolutely baffling to me why Visa stuff (if that was part of the problem) isn't dealt with before dates are even announced, because we've had a few dates be cancelled (or went on minus a few members) now.

Not really holding out much hope for Canada to be on the tour again.

K-Pop idol comes out as trans, delighting fans: 'So proud of her. My sweet girl'

Fourth Generation K-pop Idol, Cherry, also known as Ryujin, has come out as transgender, much to the delight of her many fans.

I'm so happy for her, and hope that she is, too. I can't say that I know her well, but when I found out this news earlier today I got very emotional about it. I wish her all the best, and while I know she's going to get some hate —because the world still sucks, and lets be honest, Korea has a long way to go still when it comes to people in the LGBTQ+ community— but I hope that whatever suffering she may go through from this point on is minimal.
