“Thank you,” she said gently. This was probably the hardest moment of her life. She missed her daughter so much, what she longed for was to pull her into her arms and press her nose against her daughters head. She missed her so entirely. She paused at his words, considering this. “Do you…happen to have any books? If I can’t leave…maybe I should do something with my time.”
“Books, sure, and you have headphones? I bet some music would lighten up this dreary room huh?” Just about everyone had something on their cell phone for that. “But don’t worry. I’ll get a video of Alma and send it your way. You gotta stay strong for her, sure, but everyone else cares for you too. Ya know?”
