Uh…so I got hit with a lotta inspiration for this so I kinda hijacked it… and then went too far, I think…. my bad! ^^;;;
There was crashing rain and a flash of lightning so close it forced Sakura to momentarily cover her eyes, lest she be blinded, cursing the weather: since when did Konoha ever have storms this bad? Hearing the snap just in time, she ducked out of the way of a falling branch and came face to face with body wrapped in bloody armour, shaggy silver hair and familiar fingerless gloves. Possibly on foolish instinct her mind leapt to make the connections that this was Kakashi and skidded over to him,
“Kakashi?” She called to him as her hands found his back and she checked first, for any spinal injuries or major bone breaks; she sighed in relief at finding none and so turned him over to place her hands flat on his chest. As she did so, however and her green medicinal chakra flared to life in a bubble over his chest, the kuniochi frowned, something wasn’t quite right.
She searched through his systems a little more, trying to put her finger on what exactly was wrong until her chakra passed over one of his kidneys - several years prior, Kakashi had received a bad injury, enough to lacerate and almost rupture his left kidney. Sakura had been easily able to heal it completely, but she knew her own work and exactly what sort of tell-tale signatures she left behind. In this man, they were’t there.
She searched further, recalling all of the time she’d had to patch Kakashi up (they were starting to number in the hundreds) yet the Kakashi in front of her held no markers or evidence that he’d even sustained the injuries - let alone that she’d been the one to heal him.
Whoever this weirdo was: it was definitely not the Kakashi she knew.
“Sakura, what is it?” Tsunade asked as she appeared in the room, glancing around seeing the rest of her team in there as well as the feet of whoever was in the bed,
“I found this imposter injured in the training grounds, I found it a little… suspicious,”
“You found ‘suspicious’,” The man in the bed mocked, with a snort of derision, “Who do you think you are? Junko from Paradise?”
Only Kakashi-sensei snorted at the ‘joke’. (Which he then tried and failed to cover with an unconvincing cough.)
Tsunade stepped further into the room frowning at the familiarity of the voice, until she found a ninja who looked to be an almost exact copy of the Copy Ninja himself. Were it not for his different uniform, undignified position and childish pout, Tsuande might have asked who was playing such a stupid joke.
“Who are you?” She demanded as the single eye of the trussed up ninja flicked to hers, (apparently, Sakura had seen fit to tie him up to prevent his escape),
“Hatake Kakashi, who are you? Where is the Sandaime?”
“Deceased, I am the Fifth,” The new-Kakashi paused suddenly his eye dropping from hers in apparent consideration for the news, though it never fell any further than her neckline as the tiniest of fate blushes appeared over the top of his mask.
“Ha! Kaka-sensei’s a pervert, I knew it! Cough up, fools!” Sakura gleefully exclaimed, gesticulating for Naruto and Sai to hand over their hard earned cash,
“Sa-Sakura, that’s not a fair bet - if you made it about me, you didn’t know that ‘me’ - and it should be possible for you to know that version of me - so how can you claim that as proof?”
“Shouldn’t, but we can…besides, I’m not hearing a denial~,” She offered with wads of cash clenched in her fists as she punched the air above her head, leaving Kakashi-sensei to slap a hand over his face in both embarrassment and resignation.
“And she gambles too? What a rough woman, nobody likes women who gamble or showboat!” The younger Kakashi complained arrogantly as Sakura immediately stopped her celebrating and fixed a glare on him, she marched up beside him and punched him painfully in the temple,
“You shut-it, baka, it’s not right a man to comment on a woman’s behaviour! Besides, you’re some porn-reading imposter, who cares about your opinion?”
“Ah, Sakura… if that really is me from another time, could you not be a bit gentler? Anything you do to him will affect me,” Kakashi-sensei offered uneasily, not entirely sure whether it was wise to tell Sakura that nugget of information. The kuniochi however, whirled her head around to fix her eyes to the current version of her team leader,
“What? Do you have some decree for how women should behave, Kakashi-sensei?”
“…Ah….no….I think women should be free to behave as they wish,” He answered slowly, under the fiery eyes of both Sakura and Tsunade, who both issued a self-satisfied nod at the response they got from the grown-up Kakashi.
“Ha, they have you whipped,” The younger Kakashi offered petulantly, at which Sakura glared at him with murder in her eyes, until he grumbled an apologetic noise,
“Kakashi-sensei, I can’t believe you gave us such a hard time as kids for being obnoxious when you were ten-times worse!”
Kakashi-sensei only lowered his eyebrow, If Tsunade-sama has any sense, she will never let Sakura be in charge of a genin team.
