Rapper Kendrick Lamar Refuses to Attend GQ Many of the Year Event

After being featured on the cover of GQ's Man of the Year Issue and being named GQ Rapper of the Year (Whatever that means), Kendrick Lamar refused to attend the event where he would be honored with the award. The rapper and his label Top Dawg Entertainment claimed that the article written had racial overtones. GQ magazine editor Jim Nelson released a statement stating that the article was positive and meant to celebrate the artist.  Below is a link to the article, check it out.
