There’s a red and green gash in the ghost’s chest, and Tubbo knows that no miracle has occurred. The ghost greets him with a cheery tone that echoes dully in his ears. Tubbo doesn’t say a word in response. He can’t.

When Tubbo lifts the bridal veil from his beloved’s face, he’s met with empty, dead eyes, and a smile that isn’t Ranboo’s.

It is the first time they’ve interacted since cRanboo’s passing, and before cTubbo can say anything, before he can start crying or screaming or reaching for that cut in his stomach before flinching back at the last second, cGhostboo starts speaking:

“Look! I’m fixed now! No more stupid memory problems, no more stupid ender walking, no more ‘don’t choose a side’ mentality! No more of that disgrace of a husband! Isn’t that wonderful? I’m finally perfect for you! I can finally be the husband you deserve.”

And Tubbo just stares at him, numb and broken for a long time. And then, when the snow has drenched them to the point that nothing feels cold anymore except for their hearts, he says, “… How unloved did I make you feel if you thought I’d love your corpse more than you?”

Just thinking about this along with their last canon interaction being Tubbo’s “He promised me a good life” and then imagining that ghostboos first thought is to tell him is along the lines of “ I can give you a good life now” ,,, I just,, man
