The SkyFix removes “walls” that made sun, moon, stars, meteors (in Seasons+ coding) and neighborhood skyboxes (in Nightlife+ coding) not visible on lots. This mod makes it possible to create a skybox that is not covered by the fading horizon (thanks to Lowedeus for the solution to this problem). See screenshots for a simple explanation.
Installation
If you have an old version of this mod (simNopke-skyFix-xxx), delete it first.
There are 4 versions of this mod. You need to choose only one – for the newest expansion pack you have installed. Note that Mansion and Garden Stuff is treated as an expansion pack 9 and other stuff packs – as an expansion pack 4.5.
simNopke-skyFix2-EP6 – Bon Voyage or any newer expansion pack or Mansion and Garden Stuff
simNopke-skyFix2-EP5 – Seasons, or Seasons and any stuff pack except M&G

Known bugs
None caused by this mod, but there is a bug you can’t see without the SkyFix in Seasons or newer EP: double sun and double moon.

The SkyFix does not affect camera mods.
For creators of skyboxes
Lowedeus made a list of values related to layering elements on the sky. If you want to create a skybox that is properly layered and compatible with the SkyFix, you need to use the following values for the stdMatLayer parameter in the material file of your skybox:
-4 – astronomical objects, aurora, cirrus (or other background) clouds
-3 – cumulus clouds, planes, other objects
Unfortunately, Maxis sun, moon, stars and meteors are on higher layers, so they are drawn after skyboxes.
