Normally having anyone disrupt his work would have been a minor annoyance to Joey. Whether it had been on a scale of questions for clarification or outright complaints, being torn away from work was not exactly his ideal situation. Sometimes necessary, yes, but it had halted progress, and there was to be none of that in his studio. He hadn’t gone that far off the deep end just yet to where he would throw deadlines into the wind. Instead of a twinge of irritation that would buzz in the back of his head at the call of his name, however, it had been replaced with a much more tame raise of his head after spotting those tiny fingers and recognizing the voice so small near him. This wasn’t an employee who would have to come face to face with his usual business demeanor, but a child who would get that whimsical man who popped in the papers and on the telly.
Pencil coming to a halt, Joey shifts in his chair, looking down at Dulcie with a crack of a smile. Always curious, wasn’t she? Joey could understand: It was both the nature of a child and those who had a love of the arts. Always questioning, wondering, asking, dreaming.
“ Well, ” He flips his pencil, eraser tapping against his devil darling’s face as he points with it. “ I don’t think sayin’ he came from my imagination counts, does it? ” The smile becomes much more cheeky. “ Bendy’s always been a li’l devil runnin’ around in the ol’ noggin. The idea of him’s always been with me – One day I remember seeing all those mice n’ cats in the films and thinking that they’re really missing something. Missing his – Well, his charm. Now the design was harder: I knew I wanted to have these li’l horns. Tried a few things for a little while – Once, I drew him as a bull. ”
Joey laughs at the thought, making a face. “ Imagine that! Ol’ Bendy as a bull. Silly, in’nit? ”
His hand starts to move, sketching out almost a little transition from a previous design, into that of Bendy now.“ Kinda came to the conclusion that another animal wouldn’t be fun. So I thought – Gee, Bendy’s a bit of a devil, isn’t he? Always playing pranks. ” A wave of his fingers. “ Hit me like a brick that day, and viola. ” He gestures to the finished doodle. “ We’ve got the Bendy we know today. Make sense? ”
Being inspired by much more darker means? Perish the thought.
A laugh; light & airy, innocent & childish upon the man's words.
What a SILLY thought it was to imagine everyone's favorite little
devil darlin' as anything other than ------ well, a devil ! He certainly
would have stood out against all the cats & mice running about.
But she stops; watching in curiosity as Mister Drew's hands would
sketch a design ------ unfamiliar & yet familiar in all the same light as
it SOMEWHAT resembled Bendy. But the curiosity would soon turn
to awe when he finally did draw the Bendy that she & everyone else
loved so much ! Once the man was done, she clapped her hands in
delight; clearly satisfied.

A pause as she looks away; her eyes studying the posters plastered
about. Of course, it wasn't just Bendy; there as also Alice & Boris too !
& as much as she loved Bendy, she had to love everyone right ? She
liked all of them ! Well, okay ------ except the Butcher Gang was kinda
creepy.
★ ' Did Boris use to be a puppy dog ? & Alice a birdie ? Or a fishy ! '
