JD’s unpopular opinion time:
I get that everyone wants Killian and Emma to get married and have lots of sex and babies but -
What if neither of them want kids other than Henry, if Henry is more than enough for both of them?
What if Emma doesn’t want to be pregnant again, because being pregnant in jail the first time then never holding her baby was something she still thinks about, even when she knows Henry is sleeping safely down the hall?
What if Killian is happy having a step-son?
What if the house is so large because Killian has always lived on a small ship, crammed into rooms with other cabin boys or sailors and always having to share and when he does have his own cabin it’s his brother’s and Liam’s always there, and it’s too small and yet not big enough and -
What if Emma has always lived spartanly but in Storybrooke the thought of having extra rooms is just so appealing, like she could have a room for wrapping paper (not that she would but she could - )
What if the future is just the two of them, together, and that would be enough?
