Here’s another Endgame speculation painting, to be paired with my last one of Steve. This time the victim is Tony. After I’d thought of the previous scenario with Steve, I had the idea of Thanos also using the reality stone on Tony. Perhaps after Thanos shrinks down Steve to his original preserum form, Tony tries to come to his aid, but is stopped mid repulsor blast by the reality stone. He falls to the ground as his armor disintegrates around him. He tries to stand, but finds himself held back to the ground. He looks down to discover he’s tethered by the weight of a car battery wired to the original electromagnet from the first Iron Man film. He, like Steve, with either have to get really creative real fast, or watch helplessly while Thanos takes on the rest of the team (which, as established by age of ultron, is perhaps Tony’s worst fear.) I suppose my goal in all of this was to create something that would be more devastating than the defeat in infinity war- because if the avengers couldn’t beat Thanos with two teams, the entire force of Earth’s most advanced nation, and their full power range, what can they do when they’re stripped back to their basest parts?
