im thinking about inevitability and how danny seemed to understand it and was grieving his own death before it happened, and how tim didn't and couldn't understand and did not recognize the gravity of what happened until danny was already gone, and only after years of anger and grief and violent desperation to understand who took his loved one did tim reflect and acknowledge the inevitability too
