Doesn’t the, uh… the priest drink wine during church? And god and… you know, jesus is all about “sharing is caring” so the priest would have to por on for everyone else.
...There is a wine ceremony and yes a lot of religious people drink wine but you're very unlikely to find heavy drinkers here, gluttony is a sin you know. I mean I'm not overly religious but getting completely drunk isn't exactly attractive either.

There's been a genuine lack of drunk patrons this weekend... which kind of makes me regret taking the last shift tonight. Everyone seems to be walking around with a cloud over their head these days.
Did someone die, are we in mourning, did I miss the memo?
Well considering this was a function run by the church, I don't know why you're surprised at the lack of drunkards.
Talk about your biggest regret.
K: I try not to regret things.T: But you often do. K: But its never anything overly significant. T: A small part of you regrets leaving BenningtonK: But a huge part of me doesn't, I loved living in England, I loved university and everyone I met and I wouldn't take that back.T: Then..do you regret coming back?K: Strangely....no. I have so much respect for people who do it every day. It definitely does take a lot of patience. I can handle it in small doses, but I think dealing with it every day would be too much. So, if you don’t mind me asking, what brought you to working at the library?
Yes I agree with you completely. And actually my mother got me the job, she knows Mrs Walsh who runs the library and I double majored in Literature which I think actually makes me more qualified than most of the staff there. I mean its a simple job but it'll do for now, keep me busy.

I mean Cambridge was my home for...five years..and I woke up the other morning expecting to me in my quaint little apartment and here I was in my Bennington bedroom and...its very disorientating.T: Well I think Bennington is probably home for you overall, but in a way, home is more defined by the people.K: Exactly and Seb was 'home' for the longest time and now I...yes, I don't know.

She’d held her hand to her chest as she’d listened to the message. Her entire body was shaking as tears trickled down her cheeks. It wasn’t the first time he’d called since she left, but it was the first time he’d left a message. They’d dated for four years, lived together for three. They knew each other and Kimberley knew that Sebastian’s words in the message were genuine, from the heart. He was like that, a romantic, a dreamer. It was one of the things she’d loved about him. But his dreams were too big for her. She felt as though someone else, some other girl that was more like Sebastian, would benefit more from his big dreams of family and happiness. Kimberley was too career driven and honestly the thought of settling down scared her quite a lot.
Kimberley sat in a tangled mess of flowery pink bedsheets. She was in her old bedroom in her old house, her parent’s house, the house she’d grown up in. And now she sat there, in pinstriped pyjamas, a grown woman in a tiny single bed, surrounded by the pictures and posters that were still exactly where she’d placed them several years earlier. She felt fifteen again, overwhelmed by the world, by a boy. Boys had never really been a significant part of her life when she’d lived in this house, her parents simply didn’t allow it. And perhaps that was why she’d been so swept up by Sebastian’s charm, because it was the first time she’d experienced it.
She dropped her phone onto the mattress and lay back against her pillow, running her hand through her hair, looking up at the ceiling. There was no way she was going back to England, at least not for a while. Pretty much everyone she knew had witnessed the train wreck of Sebastian’s proposal - it wouldn’t have been a disaster if she’d just said yes, but she couldn’t. It was hard to believe it was only a week ago. It felt decades away now that she was at home.
It was strange, being surrounded by her family and old friends, people she hadn’t seen in five years. And though Kimberley felt like she was missing a huge part of herself, she felt like she could actually breathe. In Bennington she had space, and time. Time to think, time to just…take a walk or…lay in bed until nine in the morning. She liked regimentation and schedules but this break was much needed.
Sebastian’s message had sent a huge pang of guilt and sadness through Kim but she knew she couldn’t call back, not yet. She loved him, but she had no idea what she would say or even how to explain why she’d said no. And she hoped that Seb would realise that he deserves a girl that’d instantly say yes. It killed her that she just couldn’t be that girl.
You work in the library? Oh, goodness. I can only imagine the destruction. I’m so sorry. But, hey, it’s all worth it in the end. The kids are learning and that’s really what matters. It’s really amazing to see them connect with history - or, in your case, books.
I suppose it is nice to see them learning, I've just never been overly passionate about teaching or anything of the sort. This is the first job I've had where I've had to actively interact with children. And it is nice but..well I really don't understand how teachers and parents do it.
