love your paintings!! What advice do you have for people wanting to become background painter?

I'm glad you like my paintings! Studying from life is great for training your observation skills. You'll learn so much about light and shadows just by studying environments around you. Also watch a lot of movies and pay attention to how they approach coloring and lighting their environments based on the story. Background painters help evoke emotions in the audience through color language and mood lighting. They can't just be stand alone pretty pictures. Story is key!

Here are a few of my Sanjay and Craig background paintings and gross outs. The other painters and I make all the textures by hand with spray paint, inks, and cel-vinyl acrylic.  I’ll post more when new episodes start airing again.
