I’m a 30 something year old self taught artist just trying to learn how to love art again. I’m not interested in doing commissions at this time. I just want to draw and enjoy it. And I hope that you will enjoy it with me!

I like drawing fanart, naked women (lol) and self portraits. But I’m trying to learn other stuff too. One day I hope to get my passion back to where it was when I was in my teens and early 20s so that I can make a comic.

Initially this blog was to express all my sadness and depression, but I’m feeling much better lately. So I decided to turn it into an art blog.

I had the thought and image of a woman riding a dinosaur, so I drew it. I think, considering this is my first time drawing a dinosaur, it came out ok!

Anyone else feel like the world is on fire and you have to just force yourself to smile and carry on? I’m not depressed, I’m ok because I know I’ve felt worse…but I’m also feeling a little hopeless about the state of things lately.

I am a big fan of Markiplier, so I HAD to go see his movie Iron Lung! I think he did a great job and I enjoyed myself. So I decided to do a fanart based on one of the movie posters I saw online. I may do another fanart later once we can talk spoilers. But for now, no spoilers here!

I think I expressed a bit of this before with the Himiko Toga picture I did a while ago, so I won’t go too in depth. This is a personal artwork that reflects how I felt as a child. I used to believe I was evil and monstrous because I was called mean, nasty, rude, selfish, etc. for a good chunk of my childhood. No one really understood me and it just felt like I only hurt the people I cared about. It didn’t help that I was raised Christian, so I literally thought that I had a demon in me. It wasn’t until recently (like late 20s, early 30s) that I let go of that narrative and embraced the fact that I’m actually a really kind person. Maybe even a little too kind, actually.

I can’t draw monsters, so the shadow looks a little cartoonish. But I hope the point still comes across.

I wanted to try to see if I made much progress over the years, so I decided to redraw an old picture I did back in 2011ish. If you can’t tell, the redraw is the first picture lol. I guess I see where I’ve gotten better? But I feel like it’s not by much. I still have a long way to go if I want to see better results in my art. One thing though that regressed is my ability to design characters. I think this is such a cute design and I have no idea how I came up with it! I can’t seem to draw interesting fashion anymore. So that’s something I need to really practice!

Also, I forgot to draw her tail! And I forgot to render the ribbon on the broomstick lol.

That throne was TOUGH. I’m so bad at furniture lol. The boots and the gloves were hard too. But overall I think this came out ok! I worked on this all day.

I don’t usually draw men, but I think I did ok with this sexy Kakashi I did for a friend. She was really happy!

I drew this inspired by the song “Leviathan” by Volbeat. I love that song and have this image in my head every time the song plays, so I had to try and draw it. I’m not good at drawing monsters though, so you only get a peak at it rising from the sea.

I like everything in this picture except the grass. Drawing grass is so hard! I tried watching a tutorial and it still didn’t turn out right. Despite that, I had fun doing this one! So much fun I lost track of time and almost forgot to eat.

Bakugo is my FAVORITE My Hero Academia character, from the START. I identify with his journey so much. I identify with thinking you’re hot shit and better than most people around you only to find out there are others out there who are just as amazing if not better than you. And the realization that you have to actually work with others and accept help from others, and that’s the way it should be!

The recent dubbed episode was SO GOOD. I was happy to see him shine. So I drew this fanart of him!

I wanted to play with and experiment with lighting effects. I think it looks okay!

Red spider lilies are iconic in anime. They’re also known as corpse flowers. In Japan, they symbolize the coming of fall, but is often associated with death as well. This is according to Wikipedia, mind you, so take it with a grain of salt.
