He suffered a severe laceration to his chest, which exposed both of his breast muscles. After a visit to the vet, Igneous received 30 staples and numerous internal dissolvable stitches. Today, he is walking around, eating, and learning what it feels like to be safe and free from harm. When we look at this photo of Igneous's chest flayed down to the flesh, it is hard not to notice how much it resembles the "whole chicken breasts" shrink-wrapped in styrofoam packages in refrigerated supermarket coolers all over the world. Kind of happy and sad that today was my last day tanning in a tanning salon. Sad because the girls there are so sweet, but happy because I'm done destroying my skin for a temporary tan. Toodles! It was relaxing, laying in a bed with fans blowing. I often would take 15 minute naps, so I see how it could be addicting. You shut the world out for a little while and get to just focus on yourself. He had so much on fun on his 2nd second Birthday celebration at grandma's. Grandma made him a miniature cookie cake with bananas, peanut butter, and crumpled cookie bits on top that he absolutely loved. He was so happy and I was struggling trying to keep a dry eye. Where'd my baby go?
