Hi Neil! I saw Amanda in Boston last Friday, and after reading her art book and hearing her talk, I’ve thought about how different you two are. How do you make your relationship work?

Talking, kissing, arguing, genuinely liking and taking pleasure in the other one’s company, and besides, sometimes opposites attract, especially if they are only opposite on a few things, and agree on a whole lot more.

First here are some sketches of my development of the aunts and the cat.  It helped to develop Min and the aunts the same time, the stronger the character of Min got- the stronger the aunt characters became. They ended up looking different to this but the strength in their poses are very similar.

I’m an illustrator based in London.I mix traditional and digital techniques; mostly pencil and digital software.

I enjoy making narrative pieces which sometimes take the form of short books or zines as well as editorial and poster illustration. My work has been recognised/awarded by D&AD, The Cheltenham Illustration Awards and Derwent Pencils.
