Introducing our May flavor of the month, #129: Tim Tam Slam chocolate mint julep ice cream with chunks of Tim Tam biscuits Okay show of hands, who knows what a Tim Tam Slam is? Those who do -YESSSS! If you don’t, allow us to enlighten you. First of all, a Tim Tam is a delicious chocolate biscuit from Australia. A Tim Tam Slam is the act of nibbling off the ends of that delicious chocolate biscuit from Australia, placing it in a hot beverage like a hot cocoa or something, and slurping. But you must SLAM it, or swallow the Tim Tam, before it totally melts all over the place. 

Okay great. Now we’re all on the same page here. But did you know the Tim Tam was a Derby Day original? The founder of the company attended the 1958 Kentucky Derby and decided that the name of the winning horse, Tim Tam, would make for a great name for his new line of chocolate biscuits. We concur. Great name.

And now we’ve decided Tim Tams are perfect for this month’s Mint Julep inspired flavor. We’ve blended both stories to come up with our version of the Tim Tam Slam – teaming up with Windfall Farms for our mint, Mast Brothers for our chocolate, and Kings County for our Chocolate Whiskey. (You heard us right, Chocolate Whiskey.)
