my kitty cat was wandering around going ‘mrrph?” so i was like “in here!” he goes “mrrph!” shoves open my bedroom door with his big round head and FLOPS on me. as in hard enough that he made a little “oof” noise when he did it. followed by a category five purring event. there’s good in this world mr frodo etc
Being nice to someone you don't like is not manipulation btw it's being civil

Struggling with hygiene or taking care of yourself overall does not impact your worth! You are worthy, regardless of what you can and can’t do on any given day.
If you hear people from my past speak of me. Keep in mind they are speaking of a person they don’t even know any more.

i actually dont mind tumblr posts reposted to pinterest. the 13 y/o "pinterest in the only social media my parents let me have" girlies deserve a treat
If you see another disabled person doing something that you can’t, it’s okay. Everyone’s disabilities present differently even if it’s the same condition. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or failing because you can’t do the things they can.
{Growth requires hard work} {But it’s worth it}
dear ablebodied NDs & mentally ill people:
saying that you wish you were physically disabled so people would take you more seriously is incredibly harmful, insulting and ableist.
in no way are physically disabled people taken seriously, it’s not some kind of privilege. being visibly disabled isn’t a privilege either.
as a ND and mentally ill person i know how frustrating it is to not be taken seriously, but in no way do you want to be physically disabled. and saying that physically disabled people have it easier is terrible.
as someone with a lot physical disability AND a mental health disability, doctors tell me my physical disability is made up and that I’m FAKING IT. That it’s all in my head and psychosomatic. It took 5 years before a doctor believed me and for a doctor to order tests and to get a correct diagnosis. But even WITH THE DIAGNOSIS, I AM STILL CALLED A FAKER! I want to be able bodied, and neurotypical. I’d give anything to have all of this “cured”. It’s awful to not be taken seriously for anything I do or say.
