Eurovision: countries putting aside their differences and joining together to embrace music
Commentators: slowly getting drunk and throwing shade at other countries
Every year, I take pleasure in converting some of you into fans of another ridiculous obsession of mine: Eurovision. At the Eurovision Song Competition, each European nation sends its “best” song to compete. A few of the songs are good… a lot of the songs are pretty funny/terrible.
The choreography, the costumes, the lyrics, the pyrotechnics… I don’t know how something like this even exists, but we are lucky to live in a world where it does.
As usual, I compiled a video of some of my favorite moments from the songs competing this year. Watch it, and I’m sure you’ll be stoked for the big show (you can stream it here in America!) on May 14.
I lost it at ‘Holy exorcism Iceland’.
Eurovision fan problems.
