RP blog for my ocs, Gail, Zar, Singe and Stell (blog by @moth-they). sorry for not posting too often, I dont have a lot of ideas to post.

Kindred Shells and Souls from Far-off Lands

"Huh, that does seem interesting." (Terin presses a button on the side) "Hm? Oh, it glows. It seems it might hold some information..."

"Hey- wait, whats that? The... glowy thing? Lemme see... whats this "Tumblr" app?"

Hi, I made a new pinned post due to the fact that I made a few new ocs.

Here's a but of Lore about each of them, first of all:

Terin: Member of the Moth Tribe. He previously was a researcher, srufying oddities, events and phenomena in Hallownest. When Hallownest started to become a desolate wasteland because of the infection, Terin set out from Hallownest and became a wanderer. He came across Pharloom, and entirely new land, with more to discover. He set up a dwelling in Deep Docks, because of the amount of materials. It had Flintflame, lots of magma, and close proximity to the Abyss. Now migrated to @cogwork-conundrum to live with Xi.

Gail: a Snail Shaman who abandoned her order, after an incident with her brother. She doesn't give out that information often, though... She became like Terin, a researcher looking for interesting phenomena. She also came across Pharloom, and met Terin. They originally fought, with Terin almost losing to Gail's many spells, but they reached a peace agreement. They would each take turns defending their dwelling from intruders. The other would work on their collective studies. Quite a loner, but protective of the people she lives with now (and Terin and Xi)

Zar: previously a member of the Hive, and even a Former Hive Knight. Is young and hyperactive, and was unfit for the position of Hive Knight. They let many members of the Hive get hurt under their watch, and were replaced as the Hive Knight. They exiled themselves in search of survival and combat training in the wild. Quite friendly now.

Stell: A Shade, that now inhabits a metal vessel made for it by Gail. Used to be known as Sear before becoming a shade, worked in deep docks with sibling Singe. A bit more relaxed now than when they first got their new body.

Singe: Sibling of Stell. Used to work as Sentry/Guardian of the Docks, now given up the role after a confrontation with the Forebrothers and lives with Gail, Zar and Stell. They now get to show their friendly side!

*Terin arrives back home to the Deep Docks, looking panicked and hurried, carrying bundles of paper. He was fighting off the last of the Whiteward bugs that chased him out of the Citadel. He called out as soon as he reached near enough to the house*

"ZAR!! GAIL!!! STELL!!! WHOEVER'S HOME!!!! HELP!!!!!!"

*Zar is just stepping out of the house and notices Terin, and jumped at his panicked shouting. He flew quickly towards him, also joining in fighting off the whiteward bugs.*

"ZZTERIN, WHAT ZTHE HELL DID YOU DO???"

"NO TIME TO EXPLAIN, GET BACK TO THE HOUSE!!"

*The last Whiteward bug was knocked out, and Terin and Zar got in the house and quickly locked the door in case any of them survived.

Terin quickly threw the papers he was carrying down on the table. It was classified Citadel documents on silkfly operations. He skimmed down the list of names under he got to the Xs...*

"Xi... what did they do to you..."

*Gail, Singe and Stell had just got home, and saw Terin going insane over some papers.*

"Gail, Who's that? ...is. is he ok?"

Just as Terin sits down to try and get the whole story straight, the door opens.

*Gail came downstairs to see Stell sitting at the table, a pencil in their hand.*

"...Stell? What are you doing?"

*Gail walked over to see Stell drawing something odd...*

"...Sibling? Is that your sibling"

*Stell nodded.*

"Don't know where they are... name was Singe. Miss them..."

"Singe... Did they work here in the Docks? Did you work with them back when you were a vessel?"

*Stell nodded again, sadly. Shades could not cry, but Stell's voice crackled with strong emotion.*

"M... miss them..."

"Huh? Hey! Don't cry, They might still be out there! ...do you wanna go look for them?"

*Stell looked up in surprise, they hadn't even thought to look.*

"...yes..."

*Both Gail and Stell set off further into the Deep Docks, Gail grabbing her staff on the way out.*

*Zar came down the stairs. They were put looking for Terin earlier, and went back to their room to take a break.*

"Zzz... zzzWAIT WHERE THE HELL IS EzzVERYONE. WHAT."

*Gail and Stell are about Halfway through the Deep Docks, when they spot a figure in the distance*

"I... Is that your sibling?"

*Stell freezes in place.*

"Y-yes... it is..."

*Stell tries to call out but can't. They feel too sad, they've been away from them for so long...*

*The vessel in the distance notices a presence, and turns around, shouting in an attempt to intimidate the intruders.*

"WHO GOES THERE?"

*Gail AND Stell now froze in surprise*

"ANSWER ME, INTRUDERS! I AM FORGE SENTRY SINGE, IN CHARGE OF KEEPING INTRUDERS OUT OF THE HOLY CITADEL'S DOCKS!"

*Gail went to speak, to answer Singe.*

"M... my name is Gail! My friend Stell told me-"

*Before Gail knew it, a wrench was flying at her head.*

Gail Defense (2d4): 2, 2

Singe Attack (2d6): 4, 4

Gail gets knocked off balance by Singe's wrench.

But as Gail lands back on her feet, the wrench ricochets back and hits her properly off her feet, barely grabbing onto the ledge of the hanging platform and helped up by Stell

"DO YOU SURRENDER?!"

*Singe readies their wrench again as it returns to their claw.*

*Stell was just barely able to move to help Gail up a moment ago, and still felt frozen in place.*

"STEEL ONE. WHY DO YOU HELP YOUR FRIEND IN SURVIVAL BUT NOT ATTACK? LEARN BRAVERY!"

*As they spoke the last word, Singe threw their wrench again, this time at Stell.*

*Stell felt feeling return to one arm, after a moment of being frozen to the spot. Their arm moved up, moving to catch the wrench.*

Stell Defense: 1d4 (double dice to match Singe's attack so 2d4)

Result: 2, 1

Singe's attack: 2d6

Result: 5, 1

Stell is disoriented by Singe's wrench slamming against the side of their metal shell (4/5 hp), but they gain control of their body just in time to catch the wrench on its way back to Singe's hand.

"S... sibling... stop fighting..."

*Singe stepped back in surprise. Sibling? Were they... no. It couldnt be...*

"...Sear?"

*Stell began to feel sadness creep into their mind at the recognition of that name, a thing that shouldn't ever happen to a vessel. But Stell wasn't a vessel anymore. They could feel. They allowed themselves to cry, in memory of who they used to be...*

"Stell! Are you okay??"

*Gail rushed over to Stell as they began to cry, void teara falling onto the platforms of the deep docks.*

"I remember..."

"Sibling! Is it really you?"

"What's going on????"

*Stell grabbed the paper they drew their depiction of Singe on earlier, and drew again, on the other side.*

*Stell was trying to speak through their sobs*

"U-Us... used to work... work h-here... the Docks... worked.. with sibling... for forebrothers... d-defected... out of line... got attacked... by forebrothers... I remember now... It is all coming back to me."

*Their condition was starting to recover, as Singe pulled Stell into a hug.*

"I missed you..."

"...Would you like to see where I live now, sibling?"

"Oh, where is it? Do you live this nice snail lady here?"

"Yes, They do. My name is Gail, for your information."

"Oh, hi! Can we visit your home? Id like to see where my sibling has been living while they've been gone!"

"...Sure."

*The group started to walk put of the main part of the deep docks. When they got to the crack on the wall that led to the way to their house, however, they were very abruptly stopped by a bug dropping in from nowhere. Or was it two?*

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? Two intruders and... YOU. I told ya you weren't welcome here anymore! Clearly, you all need to be taught a lesson." "Gron, honey. What's going on?" "Signis. You know the rules about creatures like that," Gron spat, gesturing at Stell. "Still...just...give them a chance, first. Please?" "Fine. For you. One chance, bugs. Tell us why we shouldn't kill you right now."

*Gail put her staff up in a defensive position*

"...You're the ones that killed Stell?"

*She clenches her claw around the staff, but Singe grabbed it*

"Gail, dont do anything extreme. They did what they were told, according to the deep docks law!"

*Before the Forebrothers or Gail could make another point, Stell broke into a sprint, back towards the hole in the wall that led to the open area where their house is. Gail and Singe followed, and Gail apologised quickly to the Forebrothers before sealing the wall behind her.*

*Terin is running away from the whiteward after stealing classified documents on silkflies, and happens to bump into a bug selling paint pots. Some of said paint spills onto Terin's cloak:*

*Down further, in the deep docks, the red hue of the docks mixes with Gail's blue shell hat;*

*...While Stell tries not to drop the pins they made with Zar the day before.*

*Lastly, Zar is back at home, making a banner for a celebration they had heard about, which bugs in the docks had called Pride Month.*

*Zar's eyes widened in surprise. A maskfly? Zar quickly did a little sketch of what they saw, but they felt slightly bad, thinking they scared it away.*
