Parenting As A Spiritual Practice – A TED Talk
As parents, we aspire to help our children become as healthy, happy, and whole as they can possibly be, in every aspect of their lives. Therefore, it’s critical that we have the very best understanding of health, happiness, and wholeness available to us. There has never been an examination of human development, experience, and potential more comprehensively detailed than the integral approach. http://kindredmedia.org/2016/05/parenting-spiritual-practice-ted-talk/

Radiant Attention The shared attention between parents and children, between all of us really, I maintain, is telepathic. Recall Rupert Sheldrake’s studies on feeling watched and with animals. The question, of course, is the degree that we are sensitive and attentive to this subtle radiant communication. Sadly, mostly we are not which leaves our young children, who are innately sensitive and aware, stranded and disconnected.

“Just Breathe” Children Talking About Regulating Their Anger Through Mindfulness
These children talk about "shifting from their amygdala to their pre-frontal cortex" when they are MAD so they can CALM DOWN. WOW...

HAPPY WORLD DOULA WEEK!
Are Doulas The Future Guardians Of Natural Birth?
Maya Angelous's meditation on metamorphosis offers inspiration for compassion towards ourselves as parents and our children. Both parenthood and childhood can be challenging rites of passage. Mindfulness of these paths of transformation can help us to enter a state of awe and wonder, what beautiful being am I transforming into now?

Childbirth And The Future Of Homo Sapiens, by Michel Odent
A Book Review
“Should we expect transformations of our species in relation to the way babies are born?” Regardless of the answer (which is a resounding yes, by the way), I was struck more by how critical this question is – and how essentially no one else – is asking it. As Odent points out, if you go to a talk about birth, you will find pregnant moms, midwives, doulas, and those whose profession is to support the primal period. But you won’t find much more diversity than that.
When Your Child Asks You That Question About Santa
Neurodevelopmental research shows this question could be a "rite of passage" for the child and parent...
Suzanne Zeedyk asks, "What happens, then, when a child decides to confront a trusted adult about a potential lie? “Please tell me the truth, Mummy. Who really buys the presents?” Are children angry at their parents once it’s been confirmed their parents haven’t been telling them the literal truth? Is trust permanently damaged?"
