KINDRED SPIRITS FANZINE is a free-for-all Anne with an E Fanzine featuring the beloved cast of characters of Prince Edward Island. If you're interested in joining, please like or reblog!

The zine will be featuring artists and writers, and is being made to pay homage to the lovely three seasons of AWAE that we have been blessed with so far.

Hopefully you’re all either done or in the final steps of finishing your pieces! We can’t wait to share your wonderful work for all AWAE fans to see (and, if we can, we’ll find a way to get this zine kicked off enough to make it’s way to the cast and crew!)

is this zine focused only on the Netflix show, or can pieces be more inspired by the books?????

Mostly the Netflix show, but as AWAE is based off the books, the pieces can be inspired by either or both!

have you already sent out acceptance and rejection emails? im just wondering..

TIMELINE

December 16th: Official Fanzine Blog Opens

December 18th: Applications Open

December 18th-January 7th: Application Period

January 7th-27th: Reviewing and Emailing of Accepted Artists/Writers

January 28th-April 16th: Artist Drawing Period/Fanfiction Writing Period

February 28th-March 1st: WIP Check for Artists

March 28th-29thth: WIP Check (art pieces and written works should be at least 50-75% done)

Art pieces can be turned in on March 28th-April 16th.

All artwork and written work are due on April 16th. Should there be any complications, please inform us ahead of time. :)

April 16th-June 1st: Art and written works are arranged into the zine

April TBD OR Anne with an E Season 3 drop: Zine is released!

Now announcing: Anne with an E Kindred Spirits Fanzine

Focusing on the people of Prince Edward Island, and how their lives intertwine with each other

20-25 artists will be chosen, in addition to 10 fanfiction writers!

This zine is non-profit and free for all! It will be available for pdf download once finished!

ARTISTS:

Kindly send in a portfolio of your best work (whether it be related to AWAE or not) to the email [email protected]!

*You don’t need to make a new piece for the zine; just choose something you’ve already made and you’re good to go!

WRITERS:

Kindly send in 2-3 pieces you’ve written (whether it be related to AWAE or not) to [email protected]!

RULES

A set of rules for all chosen artists and writers. Kindly read before submitting anything! If you have any questions that this doesn’t cover, feel free to send in an ask!

ARTISTS:

The zine will be relatively big, so please make your illustrations at least 1748 pixels x 2480 pixels (preferably draw on a larger canvas to make it easier to resize into something smaller--for the quality to be crisp and pristine).

Make sure to draw on at least 300 dpi to ensure good quality!

No NSFW content please!

You may submit 1-2 illustrations

Please add a watermark on your piece to ensure that no one will use it as theirs!

WRITERS:

You are able to submit any literary genre you desire ( since poetry to edit-related stories) bewildering your scope for the imagination!

For standardly structured fanfictions- please submit at least 600 words! (Being a 1000+ the goal)

No NSFW content please!

Feel free to write about the most tragical romantic stories of your OTP’s (since it remains SFW)

1. What is this fanzine about?

It is about the characters of the Netflix original Anne with an E, showcasing their lives and how they intertwine with each other.

2. How many artists are taking part?

We will be choosing about 10 (or more if anyone else applies!).

3. How many fic writers are taking part?

We will be choosing about 5 (or more if anyone else applies!).

4. Will there be physical copies of the zine?

As much as we’d like to make that possible, only pdf copies will be circulated.

5. Will I be contacted if I get in?

Yes, for sure! We’ll be sending a private message to inform you.
