          SHE  ALWAYS  ANSWERS.  no  matter  what  ,  even  if  it’s  a  simple  one  word  response  ,  jenna  ALWAYS  ANSWERS.  call  him  spoiled  ,  call  him  whatever  you  may  please  ------  but  evie  had  gotten  used  to  the  woman  constantly  responding  to  him.  no  ,  it  didn’t  make  him  special  ;  but  it  brought  him  comfort  nonetheless.

          they  had  PLANS  ,  nothing  important  ,  nothing  with  any  sort  of  time  constraint.  he  wanted  confirmation  ,  is  all  ,  to  know  if  THREE  O’CLOCK  would  work  for  her  (  he  had  to  pick  honey  up  from  school  ,  after  all  !  )  a  string  of  messages  and  a  few  ignored  calls  later  had  worry  burning  a  hole  in  his  stomach.

          ten  minutes  flat  ,  and  he’s  walking  through  her  door  ------  having  let  himself  in  ,  as  per  usual.  and  oh  ,  how  the  sight  of  her  in  TEARS  has  a  damaged  heart  breaking.  fingers  tilt  her  chin  upward  ,  a  frown  upon  lips  as  his  head  tilts.  tattooed  fingers  wipe  away  her  tears  ,  before  arms  wrap  around  her  small  frame  ,  and  evie  is  lifting  her  feet  off  the  ground.

          ❝  one’a  those  days  ,  huh  ?  ❞  he  murmurs  ,  sitting  with  her  placed  perfectly  upon  his  lap.  ❝  s’alright  ta’have  THOSE  DAYS  ,  baby.  ain’t  nothing  wrong  with  it.  ❞

          some days , everything felt to be too much for jenna — whether or not there was a direct correlation to any two things that made random days feel like the apocalypse was coming , she had no idea .  tears pour down cheeks at a steady rate , limbs all tucked into evie’s hoodie when all too familiar footsteps approach — the texts that had been sent to her phone went unnoticed though she could be positive they had only come from evie trying to confirm plans .  her phone was practically glued to her palm most days , it only made sense for him to fear the worst when she didn’t respond .  she is vaguely aware of the male speaking to her yet she keeps herself hidden beneath material .  it’s only when hand slips into neck-hole of said hoodie to cup her jaw and bring her forward does she even acknowledge that he was there .  sniffles fill the silence , blinking rapidly to coax tears to leave her eyes before she finally shifts gaze upwards .  “ it’s … it is one of those days . ”
