Here’s Hapa, the Bumbling Ogre - an original creation from King Puddin Art!
I’ve decided to post more of my own work. I went to a really cool mini event at Philadelphia last month and it was a huge eye-opener: For example, everyone there had a lot of original artwork, these really cool unique styles (not even just their art, but their fashion/personalities) and I felt like the odd duck out.
I came to the realization that 95% of my work is fanart. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it doesn’t really showcase what I’ve always envisioned for King Puddin Art. I had time to reflect on what I want to be, and I got a lot out of that one event than I have at any other convention.
I’m posting more original artwork from now on, with some fanart peppered here and there depending on the mood. I want people to bank on me, not just the way I draw their favorite characters from a popular series. I hope that the characters I make could possibly be their favorites, too.
