Two drawings in two days? I love my new Surface, if you couldn’t tell. Here’s General Amaya enjoying a mug of hot brown morning potion.

Researching about the Catholic Church in the library until I have to volunteer later today.
Can’t believe I’m a senior in college!!!
P.S. I took my background photo in Ecuador ❤️
Trying Sketchbook on my PC for the first time in forever.... why do I draw so tiny.... I like the pencil but I'm not sure what to color in flats in.
Joker drawing! The colors and composition of the movie were so pretty, I really wanted to draw something for it.
Sorry about the radio silence from me. School’s taking priority right now.
a lot of drawing i been doing at my new tablet surface pro 6 waited my freaking life to get these babies even after they got discord
buy me coffee and i’m open for commission
Is the Surface Pro 6 a good pick for college?🤔
Microsoft Surface Pro 6
So now that I've had some time to work with the device I have some thoughts. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and it's a good secondary device (more on this later).
Pros:
It's a PC with the capability of running any windows programs.
Touch capability
Over 4000 levels of pressure
Vibrant colors and beautiful screen
Relatively inexpensive
Nice size and portable
Accessories work great with little to no problems with functions.
a magnet on the stylus is probably the best thing ever
Cons:
It starts to shit the fan when running on battery. Now, this was remedied by changing the settings from battery optimization to better performance. But it wasn't as apparent out of the box.
Switching from PC mode to tablet mode can cause some issues with apps. This might be an app issue and not so much a device but it's hard to tell.
Touch isn't always responsive, again could be an app issue.
The pen is nice but the eraser is bulky making it difficult to see what you are erasing.
I’ve literally been using Mac for almost 20 years and I’m disappointed that Windows doesn’t have a lot of little shortcuts that I’ve grown used to on a Mac.
Photoshop: Works wonderfully touch works great but pressure sensitivity doesn't always register. I might have to look at the settings again and see if I missed something. Accurate colors is a huge positive in my book. I didn't notice much line jitters that have been an issue with previous surface devices. Adobe got it right which is a shame because…
Corel Painter: Does not get it right. I was looking forward to using the new Painter 2019 because of the touch capabilities added. But it doesn't always register the touch no matter how I touch the screen. When switching to tablet mode the app goes completely bonkers and stops working at times forcing a restart and a couple of times a system reboot. Now Painter 2019 just came out so they probably still need to work out some kinks and hopefully future updates with fix those issues. But when it does work it's wonderful.
Conclusion: It's a great device but I don't see it replacing my MBP. For one the size is a bit small for what I'm used to for doing design work. The processor can't quite handle memory extensive programs like Photoshop and Painter running at the same time without lag. This is my fault and I should have opted for the better processor but I trusted the sales rep who said it would be fine. This isn't a big deal honestly but this is why this device will only be used for drawing and I'll reserve my MBP for my professional work. Maybe if I’m ever in the market to get a new one I’ll opt for the higher processor and see what happens.
