I felt bad about always drawing Drautos during Liam Mulvey's streams (though less so now that he’s informed me I have no taste), and wanting to work on a more complex piece I picked Libertus as my muse.  I was inspired by Liam talking about swearing like a sailor, haha.

I number of the details are based off of Liam’s streams and the games he plays.

So I can’t stop thinking about @kickingshoes‘s Taur AU, mostly thanks to @robininthelabyrinth‘s amazing fic which you can read [here].

While I love the idea of hyena-taur Titus, my personal headcanon is that Cavaugh is Eos’ version of Ireland.  So I did a little re-imagining of Titus as an Irish Red Deer.

I just chuckle inside imagining this low-born ungulaetaur showing up and knocking a full grown tiger-taur on his ass in single-combat.  Clarus immediately informing Regis he has to hire Drautos (not that he needed to be told).

‘Inhumans AU’

From an AU that I’ve been putting way too much thought into, where Titus is the heir to a fallen dynasty of mythical creatures that have been oppressed and killed by the human kingdoms of Eos.  In Lucis’ war against Niflheim, King Regis secretly creates a military force made up of ‘inhumans,’ and names Drautos Captain.

Do you ever think about how Titus Drautos was probably a good kid who wanted to be a fisherman before the war destroyed his home? Because I do a lot. 

This is the kind of inspiration I need in my life.  I could be working on finals but why do that when FFXV exists?

Kuja is still the most fabulous villain of the Final Fantasy series.  He puts the rest of us to shame.  @xkuja reminded me how much I adore him.

I might go back and paint this once I have access to SAI’s save feature again.
