In this way you will start the new year fresh and clean with maybe some room for a sustainable investment. HOW TO CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET?1. Keep your favourites, your evergreens, your classics. These are the beauties you still wear often and love. 2. Toss the items you haven't worn the past year. Trust us, you will also not wear them next year. Give them to charity! 3. Items that are broken but you still love get get a second life by repairing them of reconstructing them into a new piece. Or put them in the recycle bin, so we can make new clothes out of them. Alliance for responsible denim.

The Alliance for Responsible Denim (ARD) is an initiative from House of Denim, Made-By, Circle Economy and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

ARD brings denim brands together to collectively take steps towards improving the ecological sustainability impact of denim production.

These first steps include establishing measurements, benchmarks and standards for resource use (e.g. chemicals, water, energy) and recycled denim.

Our mission

We, members of the Alliance for Responsible Denim, are strongly aligned in our desire to produce denim in a sustainable way. We aim to collaborate together to achieve this goal. Our purpose is to make our industry cleaner and smarter so that we can produce denim in the most sustainable way possible.

Our vision

The denim industry cannot continue along its current path. Companies face complicated sustainability issues larger than they can address individually. By combining resources and efforts we can be more effective in addressing them. We are working towards a cleaner and smarter denim industry.

Recycled wool

RECYCLED WOOL

Wool is a textile fiber obtained from sheep. This natural fiber will keep you warm in winter, and is water repellent.

WHY IS IT SUSTAINABLE?

Wool can be recycled by shredding it and spinning the collected fibers into new yarns. The recycled fibers are often blended with virgin wool fibers to ensure good quality. Recycling wool saves raw materials and reduces waste chemicals usage and energy.

Recycled wool is used in coats, knitwear and men’s shirts.
