No, he won't respond well to soft things or being doted on. He only would if you're already in a relationship with him.
In day2, you do get to shock him by hugging him.
He's not used to GENUINE affection, but doing things like bringing him tea or wanting to cuddle will just bring out the brat in him. It's best to catch the menace off-guard with either a well-timed joke or being bold in a way he doesn't expect.
