I’ve been watching Luigi’s Mansion 3 gameplays (awesome game btw!), and King Boo just had to be the type of asshole that I really like… I’d like to think that whenever something bad happens to him, he would always blame Luigi (even if the latter wasn’t involved in any way lol).

   Apparently there are Boos with names that aren’t puns(like one named in one of the Paper Mario games), and yet every Boo we see in Luigi’s Mansion has a pun for a name. That gave me an idea: What if King Boo has a weakness for puns, the Boos that follow him know that, and they gave themselves pun names on purpose. And whenever the King gets sad/grumpy, they ask him to do roll call. And he’s always wheezing by the end of it.
