How did you discover ur kin/s? How long did it take for u to realize that you were fictionkin of them? Was it ur first time?

I thought I related to this character, but then things started getting weird.. I started feeling weirdly connected, as if this character WAS me. I think I watched the mugen train movie at the cinema and felt super weird cuz it was like watching myself on a huge screen. Back then, I considered myself a "Zenitsu kinnie", but I used the watered down tiktok version of kin (menign relate to), as I didn't know about fictionkinning. I couldn't understand this weird part of my identity - why did I feel like I WAS a character? So I thought, perhaps its a xenogender? So I looked up kingender but nothing came up. (Which is weird coz that IS a thing, butnanyway).. I looked up why do I feel like I identify as my kin? And THAT'S WHEN I FOUND IT. THE AMAZING FICTIONKIN IDENTITY

I feel so uncomfortable and weirded out like why are you talking about me as if I'm a character right in front of me. And the fact that they don't know its me makes me feel so uncomfy too. Also most of the time it makes me feel hurt bc when my friends talk abt me (my kin) theure js hating on me

being fictionkfolk can suck because i feel like i've lost the ability to engage with fandom normally ever since my fictotype formed.

simple jokes make me feel dysphoric or frustrated.

Plus, it's difficult to try to interact with things as if i'm not actually just the character talking about herself and her friends. As if i'm not the character reading fiction and looking at pictures about himself.

I don't want to make people uncomfortable, but the truth is that my fictotype bleeds into everything i am and everything i do. There's no me without my fictotype. To try to separate myself from the character in order to prevent causing others discomfort would not only be very difficult, but immensely painful.

I suppose all I'm saying is, i wish it felt acceptable to be me within my fandom. And i wish i wasn't so intensely affected by an experience that's supposed to be lighthearted and fun. I sometimes miss the times before my fictional identity formed, when things seemed much similar
